Terrasse Nelligan offre une vue spectaculaire sur le Vieux-Port et la Basilique Notre-Dame, un cadre chic et décontracté et une ambiance qui rend le rooftop particulièrement agréable. Le service est globalement attentif et professionnel, capable de prendre soin des groupes et de s'adapter rapidement lorsque le rythme s'accélère. Les plats et les tapas proposés alternent entre fraîcheur et saveurs affirmées, avec des coups de cœur pour certains plats comme le ceviche et le saumon grillé, et les cocktails séduisent par leur équilibre et leur créativité. La terrasse rénovée, les vues sur le canal et le soir lumineux créent une expérience mémorable et une atmosphère dynamique sans être envahissante. En été comme en brunch, le cadre attire un public varié et donne envie de revenir pour le coucher du soleil et les lumières nocturnes. Terrasse Nelligan demeure un lieu incontournable pour profiter d'un moment convivial autour de boissons bien travaillées et d'un cadre remarquable.
Ambiance is great.. a rooftop terrace is always a treat. Food & drinks were on point... would love to come back. I suspect it might be a very busy spot on weekends & evenings. We came for a quick lunch. Lobster rolls were 👌🏾
I don't mean to be a kill joy but this place is vastly over rated & over priced. It's nice & mildly above average because of its location & retractable roof that lets you enjoy the terrace rain or shine. The service is plentiful & friendly. My rating regarding food is a little off because we didn't eat. We only had drinks, so that's what I'm eating. The cocktails on their menu, beer, & wine are the only drinks they do well. If you order a typical bar drink (ie an Old Fashion) you will be disappointed by an unbalanced watery drink. I think the ice that was used in the shaker was dumped out in the glass because when the drink was brought over the color was very light.
When people post about the stunning views, I wonder where they were looking? Again it's nice. Average. Please save the word stunning for more appropriate usage. Overall review: Nice view, good vibe, over prized drinks, pleasant service. Would I return? No. Was I unhappy? No.

This place used to be my go-to terrace during hot summer days around the old port.
The rooftop ambiance is great, & it's located in the heart of the old port Montréal. However, lately, it feels like the prices went up while the quality of the food significantly decreased. We spent 80$ for ordered a plate of shrimp bao & 2 cocktails, & it was really disappointing. Knowing it's more of a rooftop/bar, my expectations were not high, but to be honest, I don't know how they can serve a dish this mediocre to that price. The bread was nothing like a real bao, & it had one shrimp in each. Drinks are a bit pricy, but they are somewhat justifiable, given the location & the rooftop ambiance. Good for drinks & maybe a nice stop by during a date night, but I would stay away from the food.
We were warmly welcomed here by William, upon calling in unplanned for drinks one evening, after a long day exploring Montreal. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to stay for food too (also very good). The service & general vibe about the place was fantastic, & we really enjoyed our conversations with William. He was a great host & a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for a lovely evening.
The rooftop bar had a pleasant atmosphere, & our waitress was friendly & welcoming. However, the experience was marred by a significant bee problem-one bee even died in one of our cocktails, & another got trapped in a different drink. When the manager noticed an issue, he initially approached the table next to us rather than directly addressing ours, despite the visible problem we were experiencing. When he eventually inquired if everything was okay, we raised our concerns about the bee situation. Instead of taking responsibility or offering any meaningful assistance, he responded in a condescending tone, as though it wasn't his fault & he couldn't do anything to improve the situation. The manager's lack of engagement was disappointing; he appeared more attentive to other tables, particularly those with white patrons, while showing no initiative to resolve the issue at our table. When we politely requested to switch tables to an area with fewer bees, he dismissed the idea, insisting that the bees would still follow us, which was clearly inaccurate based on other areas in the bar. His attitude was not only arrogant & downright negligent but also displayed a concerning lack of understanding about the potential health risks associated with bee stings, especially for patrons who may have severe allergies. His dismissive & indifferent approach toward our experience reflected poorly on the establishment's overall service.

I loved everything about this place! The food, the drinks, the service, & the atmosphere were all top-notch - definitely a 10/10 experience. Our server, Fred, was incredibly friendly & attentive, making the evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great time!
Came here for drinks at sunset. Incredible ambiance. The staff was extremely attentive, kind, & helpful. Our waiter Heol was well- versed on the menu & gave us incredible recommendations for a summery wine & dessert. He made sure we were well taken care of. Will definitely come back with friends soon! Nothing short of extraordinary!!
Owner: I didn't see any reply to bad reviews, why? Drink here, eat elsewhere! One of Montreal's nicest rooftop terrace! Went there around 7-8 times & tried many dishes. The good: the design was really well thought of, ergonomically, choice of colors, etc. -1 point for the bar lighting in the evening, TOO BRIGHT! It totally kills the ambiance. Was just perfect before they turn it up full blast. Maybe it's for barman/maid to see better when they make cocktails? Confirmed by a lighting specialist designer friend that was accompanying us. Good to know: some guests can be pretty loud in a place like this later in the evening. Service: Sometimes too overly enthusiastic & sometimes really slow. I'd say average service. Food: this is were it loose the most points for me. The portion are too small & quality is clearly lacking. More than 1/2 the time the fries are cold. Katsu sando chiken was good last year. This year, it's pretty simple white bread & fried chicken. Pretty tastless. I have many examples, but ultimately, this is a place to have a drink before going to eat elsewhere! Montreal has far better food for the price. If you have to grab a bite while there, the ceviche is the best plate to my taste, although, again, the excution is inconsistent. Special mention to DJ Larry for the amazing mixes!

We loved the design of the terrace feels like you are in France , beautiful view, drinks were great ! & food was super good , the truffle omelette for brunch was delicious & all of our table was very happy with the food too, I have been several times here & it never disappoints!
Magnificent terrace with wonderful views. Interesting & stylish decor. Excellent drinks, cocktails, good selection of wines. The kitchen leaves much to be desired, if you want to eat then this is not the place for you, the portions are very small & I wouldn't say that the food here is super tasty. Most likely ok, but not super. But if you want to spend a friendly evening with company in a wonderful atmosphere, then definitely come here.

From the moment we sat down on the lovely terrace, Leena made our time wonderful with her friendly smile, attention to detail, & great suggestions for our drinks :)
I came here for a drink tonight. I was lucky to get a seat on the bar without any wait. The Aperol Spritz was mediocre at best. After I got my drink the service was non existent. I had to almost run after a waiter to get the bill. Got a bill that was obviously wrong (120$ instead of 25$). Took ages to get the new one. & as I was finally about to leave the waiter very rudely stops me to inform me that my card got declined when he just messed up the card readers & it was once again a very obviously different amount. Not even an apology for any of the terrible service. The view is fairly nice & the vibe could be great if the staff was somewhat friendly. But it's also rather pricey with 22$ for a Aperol spritz.
I had such a lovely & romantic dinner on the rooftop! The space is thoughtfully designed with elegant finishes & makes for such a nice atmosphere. They even had a live DJ with very atmospheric beats to further increase the ambiance. Our server was wonderful, kind, & attentive. The food was great on the eyes, but the drinks were remarkable! The purple haze drink was one of the best I've had in terms of depth of flavor & complexity. I would definitely come again for drinks on the terrace overlooking the old port.
The rooftop design is fantastic. The ambiance is great & the music is very enjoyable. The drinks are excellent, & the staff are attentive & welcoming. Highly recommended & we will definitely keep coming back!
