Easily the best rooftop, dining, service experience we've had! We were prepared to splurge & we were not disappointed with the quality of the food & drinks. The view was breathtaking. It had been raining so the roof cover was over but that did not spoil the experience. Philippe was our server & was extremely helpful with suggesting our selections! We did get dessert also (the cheesecake) & it was superior. Brad Pitt's Rosè was also delicious. My husband found this Terrasse on Google, he did well 🤌🏼🫶🏼🙏🏼👏🏻 Thank you for a wonderful & memorable evening!
Terrasse Nelligan is one of those places where you don't just go for a drink or a meal - you go for the experience. Located on the rooftop of the beautiful Hotel Nelligan in Old Montreal, this spot feels like a little escape above the city, where you can slow down, take in the view, & pretend for a moment that you're living in a movie scene (even if you're just there trying to get the perfect Instagram photo like the rest of us!).
The first thing that grabs you is the view. Looking out over Old Montreal, with the historic buildings, rooftops, & the city skyline stretching around you, it's absolutely breathtaking. The atmosphere feels elegant but not intimidating - a place where you can dress up a little, enjoy yourself, & soak in the moment.
The sounds are just as beautiful: the gentle buzz of conversations, the clinking of glasses, the music in the background, & the energy of Montreal below. It creates the perfect rooftop ambiance.
The smell of delicious food, fresh cocktails, & the summer air mixing together makes you want to stay longer than planned. The taste definitely delivers - the drinks were refreshing, beautifully crafted, & the flavours felt like they matched the rooftop experience. Every sip felt like a little celebration.
& the feeling? That's what makes Terrasse Nelligan special. Sitting there with the breeze on your skin, surrounded by beautiful views & great energy, you can't help but feel grateful to be experiencing such a wonderful place.
The staff were warm & attentive, & the entire experience felt memorable from start to finish. It's the perfect place for a romantic evening, a celebration, or simply treating yourself because sometimes you need to enjoy a rooftop drink & pretend you're fancy - even if you still have emails waiting for you tomorrow.
A true Montreal gem. Five stars without hesitation!

Fav rooftop patio in Old Montreal. Such a vibe & view of the city & St. Lawrence river. The food & drinks are excellent. Had the sea bass ceviche, tuna tartare & tomato salad. Been coming here for years so highly recommend.
Très bon acceuil, on nous à pris en charges nos valises tout en profitant d'un rooftop avec une vu dégager & agréable sur Montréal.
Les vins sont ok sans plus, je suis venu découvrir la carte des vins du canada, qui sont assez frais & fruités.
Absolutely loved my experience at Terrasse Nelligan! The atmosphere is beautiful, the rooftop views are stunning, & the cocktails were fantastic. What really made our evening special was Maïté, our bartender. She was incredibly kind, attentive, & made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Her recommendations were perfect, & her friendly energy truly elevated the whole experience. Can't wait to come back! 🌇🍸
We had a wonderful time on the beautiful rooftop terrace on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The view was spectacular, the food was great & the service was outstanding from start to finish. A special thank you to Philippe, our server, who made the experience even more enjoyable with his attentive & professional service. I would highly recommend this place & will definitely be returning.
As I stepped onto the rooftop, I was immediately captivated by the breathtaking views of the Old Port & the Notre-Dame Basilica. The ambiance was vibrant yet relaxed, making it the perfect setting for a memorable day.
The service was exceptional; the staff was attentive & friendly, ensuring that every need was met. I started with the ceviche, which was fresh & bursting with flavor, perfectly complemented by a refreshing cocktail. The menu offered a delightful variety of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, & I was particularly impressed by the grilled salmon, which was cooked to perfection.
Didn't go for food but got drinks. Aperol spritz was amazing one of the best I've had. Really cool being on the rooftop to the hotel too. McAllister loved it
Gostamos muito da experiência no rooftop - a vista da cidade junto com o canal e os navios é realmente única e vale a pena.
A comida fois o grande destaque: muito saborosa e nao deixou nada a desejar.
Quanto ao atendimento, nao acompanhou a mesma qualidade do local. Faltou um pouco mais de atençao. Talvez seja parte da cultura da regiao, mas é algo que poderia melhorar a experiência geral.

We really enjoyed the rooftop experience - the view of the city along with the canal & ships is truly unique & worth it.
The food was definitely the highlight: very tasty & left nothing to be desired.
As for the service, it didn't quite match the quality of the place. It felt like it could use more attention. Maybe it's just part of the local culture, but it's something that could improve the overall experience.
