I was there yesterday after a door dash shift , & the young man who was working greeted me with biggest smile, i had the mishroom cheese pie as well as the butter chicken pie , the poes were out of this world, the pastry was awesome & its like nothing youve ever had. If you are on parc ave & looking for a very satisfying meat or vege pie, do yourselves a favor & go there. I will definitely be going back.
Butter chicken definitely taste more spicy than what it before, before was more savory sweet
The beef mushroom was lacking beef & mushroom , still taste nice though
Some has definitely change up here
I'd still purchase their pies on occasion. Nice that they are on uber eats

We used to look forward to our visits to Ta Pies, but our last experience will sadly be our last. Over the past 10 years or more, we've happily enjoyed many Ned Kelly's, Curried Veggies (our favourite) & Butter Chickens. After being away for some months, the pie that we bought today was almost laughable, except that it cost us 31$ for a virtually empty pastry shell. The minuscule quantity of chicken in the butter chicken was, frankly, insulting. If there has been a recent change of ownership, as inferred from a previous review, it is surely not for the best.
Im obsessed with the butter chicken pie. quality is amazing & I swear it has even gotten better over the years! Just wish there was one closer to the west island :)
Pies are very good. My favorites are the Classic, Butter chicken & pie with sweet potato. One thing that drives me crazy is that the crust is wrapped under the aluminum pan so when you cut into it you can't pick up the slice without tearing apart the slice. The flaky edge breaks into pieces & makes a mess. Please fix this. It's annoying & so simple to correct.
I have been a fan for years, but mostly through delivery. I was in the neighbourhood recently, though, & I went in. Had a great experience chatting with the person behind the counter, everything was great, except that when I opened up the box to eat my pie, it was the wrong one. I ordered butter chicken, I received what looked like bolognese sauce & cheese. I still ate it (no time to go back), & it was delicious, it was just the wrong kind. You haven't lost a customer, I'm just going to be extra careful next time, or stick to ordering in.

Nicely decorated little shop. Staff were nice & very friendly. I was told the butter chicken is the best seller but honestly didn't think it really blew me away. Would recommend the classic beef though. Buttery pastry shell stuffed with delicious fillings. They have the frozen/refrigerated pies if you want to stock up the fridge with quick but filling meals.
I tried the new location at 5525 Monkland Ave. recently for lunch. Having a hard time deciding which one to choose, I went with the Steak, Bacon & Cheese immediately & took the Lamb Roganjosh & Butter Chicken as frozen pies to try later. The steak was good, meat was tender & flavorful. I had the Lamb Roganjosh for dinner & it was delicious I highly recommend trying this one! I will definitely go back for more. I have yet to try the Butter Chicken but from my experience so far I'm sure it will be good. I recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a quick & yummy bite to eat.
