The highlight for me was definitely the food, everything tasted incredibly authentic, with fresh ingredients & perfectly balanced flavors that really captured a true Japanese experience. Each dish felt carefully crafted & high quality.
The service was outstanding as well. The staff were attentive & very accommodating, especially with our baby, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, with a nice family-oriented feel that made us feel comfortable throughout.
Overall, a fantastic spot if you're looking for authentic sushi with amazing food as the star. Would definitely come back!
I don't know maybe we went there very late night, raw fish pieces in maki were not fresh at all.
We ordered appetizer as well cuz we were starving, but appetizer came out with main dish & both took so long.
Sushi rice was not balanced at all. Too much vinegar. If you know Japanese sushi, vinegar amount in sushi is the most important thing when we decide if the place is good or not.
Our expectation was too high bcz of good reviews & bcz we saw chefs are Japanese.

One of the few Japanese restaurants serving Japanese cuisine prepared by Japanese. Properly seasoned sushi rice, & traditional Japanese menu items rarely seen elsewhere.
Only minutes from Montreal, & lots of parking. Worth the trip.
We like coming to the place, they have solid quality of sushi & a hearty Japanese pancake. What we wish is their hospitality to be improved, it's a Japanese restaurant, after all. Apparently in the end, they wanted us to finish & leave asap, & we could understand that. But the manner in which a waiter expressed her request was nothing close to Japanese cultural code. She threw her torso on the table & started grabbing plates & utensils, mumbling in the end that the next reservation is up… this kind of spoiled the impression from the food. We hope that it was just an unfortunate accident.
I had the pleasure of dining at Yasu Sushi in Brossard, & I must say, the food is absolutely top-notch! The quality of the sushi is unparalleled, with the fish being incredibly fresh & flavorful. Each piece is prepared with care, & you can taste the attention to detail in every bite. The variety of rolls is impressive, offering both classic options & unique creations that cater to all tastes. The service is friendly & attentive, making for an all-around fantastic dining experience. If you're a sushi lover or simply in the mood for high-quality Japanese food, Yasu Sushi is the place to go. A casual & family-friendly eatery in the south shore, one of our rotating restaurants for years. They offer an full array of authentic Japanese dishes ranged from the comforting udon katsu to the refined elegance of nigiri. In addition to an extensive list of Entrées from cold/fried/grilled/baked, the succulent Rimouski Uni & the flavorsome Alaska snow crab have lately made theirs ways to the chalkboard menu. Since the new owner/chef has taken over, the service has seen remarkable improvement & has even undergone a partial redecoration recently. At last, the awkward black leather tablecloths have been removed & those uncomfortable round chairs have been replaced. While the new owner's culinary skills are still evolving & have yet to match those of his predecessor, the food remains quite enjoyable & satisfying.

Hands down the best, most authentic Japanese fare in or around Montreal. The karaage in particular is so tender & juicy; 1000/10! The staff are also really lovely! We'll definitely be back to try some more of their delicious offerings!
