My wife & tried combos which were chefs choice of combinations of Maki, sushi, nigiri & others. The rice was overcooked & the flavors were kind of plain. They also rolled Maki in what looks like Rice Crispies which I found kind of odd. We tried this place because it was close to our hotel & the rankings were higher, but not sure why. They should also try cleaning the glass holder for the candle they place on their platters, it was on the side, away from our food but not pleasing to see once we noticed.
We ordered five different rolls (St-Jean, Mango Tango, Double Salmon, Rainbow, & New Yorker) & were disappointed by the portion size of some pieces, presentation, & overall quality of the sushi. The raw tuna lacked flavor, the smoked salmon was poorly cut & difficult to chew, with an odd texture, & the raw salmon was only average. The only rolls we genuinely enjoyed were the ones made primarily with tempura shrimp or crab. Given the restaurant's high rating, our experience was underwhelming. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for mid-range quality sushi.
Visiting Sushi Rosa was a delightful experience. The ingredients were fresh, the seasoning was just right, & the portions were quite large, leaving me completely satisfied.
Sushi Rosa was surprised by how fresh & delicious the food was. Everything was perfectly seasoned, & the portions were very generous. Definitely a delicious meal.
This was my first visit to Sushi Rosa, & I was impressed by how fresh everything tasted. The flavors were well balanced, & the portions were more than enough. I left feeling full & happy.
The food always retains its delicious taste & freshness. I really enjoy coming here to eat the diverse sushi dishes.
Sushis innovateurs ! L'extérieur ressemble à des rice crispies. Serveur hyper sympa & rapide. Ambiance calme. Je conseille !
My favorite thing here is the sushi rice. The Japanese rice is fragrant & sticky, the grains are firm but not mushy, & the sweet & sour vinegar is perfectly balanced. Many places make rice that's too strongly vinegary or too bland, but here it's incredibly balanced, highlighting the sweetness of the toppings. A truly refined culinary experience.
This was my first time eating at Sushi Rosa, & I was quite surprised by how fresh the food was & how well it was seasoned. The portions were generous, & I was very satisfied after finishing my meal.
The sushi was fresh, the rice was perfectly cooked, & the fish wasn't at all fishy. The presentation was beautiful; it looked so appetizing. The price was reasonable for the quality, definitely worth coming back for.
Mercii
Im really not 100% fan of the sushi but OMG THIS PLACE!!! Everything is extremely delicious!!! It really became my place #1 for sushi in Montreal!
Sushis très frais & le plateau de 44 morceaux est une belle sélection variée
Always fresh & the staff is very friendly. I love this place for when a crave sushi & they never miss!
The sushi remained cool & beautifully shaped upon arrival. The pickled ginger & wasabi were very generously added.
Sushi Rosa is the perfect combination of fresh, delicious food & dedicated service.
I never write reviews but I was blown away by sushi rosa. I order something online that they didn't have, not only did they replace it but added seaweed salad & extra sushi pieces. Amazing service & food (I find good sushi hard to come by in mtl)
We took the assortiment- & the udon soup.
Very disappointed, if you are from Montreal you are not going to like it! It's in front of a hotel maybe that's why they have so many good reviews, I don't know I am puzzled. But you are going to be disappointed! So many other great authentic Japanese sushi out there! This one is a pass! No freshness just a bunch of flowers & rice to decorate this whole thing! BIG PASS the meat is hard, you can't chew it!
Pass go somewhere else!
The people are nice though!
