This was the greatest sushi experience of my life. The staff helped me choose according to my tastes & I was not disappointed. The quality of the food is premium & the preparation is unbelievable. Me & my son truly enjoyed our experience. Would recommend to anyone.

Hidden Fish is a cozy & charming spot for sushi lovers! Their fresh salmon is absolutely delightful & a highlight of the menu. It's easily one of the best places to enjoy sushi, with a focus on quality & a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional sushi experience. Don't forget to reserve in advance!
The service & atmosphere 10/10. Waiter was well-informed & the chef's seemed very competent! Not all every sushi piece was great but overall, it is a good-tasting sushi restaurant. It's the aftermath that did not sit so well. I am not sure how fresh their ingredients were for the 5pm sitting but immediately after leaving the restaurant, I could feel that the food was not going to sit well. Food poisoning? I'm sure you can fill in the blanks of what happened as soon as I got home. I've eaten at numerous sushi restaurants all over Japan & at fish markets as well; never had this kind of stomach upset at an somewhat middle/high-end restaurant. TBD if I'd try again with my friends. But thumbs up for the vibe & service.
Sushi Hidden Fish Beautiful, Elegant, Elevated. A Truly impressive sushi experience, I heard great things but was not prepared for the level of skill, incredible taste & freshness. The decor is a notable highlight, large selection of imported Saki, they have a private room upstairs for larger groups as well, equally beautiful as the rest of the spaces. The Nigiri was my favorite, 6 assorted pieces.. spoke to the waiter & asked for another round & it came out completely different the second time, which was an amazing surprise! the Blue-fin tuna was my favorite. I tried the Uni, the Waygu Beef & a couple other unique rolls, All perfect. Overall the experience was one for the books, I will surely be back & with more colleagues. Thanks for having me. Cheers!

I had just come back from Tokyo, so I was really excited to try this because reviews said it reminded them of Japan. Again NO, it was pretty but the fish tasted old; like blood it was not good. Not sure if that's just how it goes in Canada but it wasn't good. I don't recommend & idk if I can ever trust any sushi in Canada again

This is officially the most expensive sushi place I have been to, also great service. But it is so damn expensive it hurts to have a byte. & no, this is not the best sushi place I have ever tasted to deserve those prices.
This place ruined sushi for me. The best 🐟🐠 ever, no competition. Super pricy, but worth it if you want to feel things in your mouth that you never knew were possible.
I recently discovered an amazing place - Sushi Hidden Fish! To be honest, I've been looking for a restaurant with authentic Japanese cuisine in Montreal for a long time, & here it is! The atmosphere there is simply incredible - calm & cozy, with a modern interior, but at the same time you can feel the spirit of Japan. The sushi & sashimi are to die for! Everything is very fresh & beautifully presented. It is clear that the products are of the highest quality, & the chefs know their stuff. The prices, of course, are not the lowest, but believe me, it's worth it! The service is also top notch - the waiters are very attentive & friendly. In general, if you want to try real Japanese cuisine in Montreal, I highly recommend Sushi Hidden Fish. Just book a table in advance, otherwise there may not be any seats. L'atmosphère y est tout simplement incroyable - calme & confortable, avec un intérieur moderne, mais en même temps on y ressent l'esprit du Japon. Les sushis & sashimis sont à tomber par terre! Tout est très frais & joliment présenté. Il est clair que les produits sont de la plus haute qualité & que les chefs connaissent leur métier. Les prix, bien sûr, ne sont pas les plus bas, mais croyez-moi, ça vaut le coup! Le service est également de premier ordre - les serveurs sont très attentionnés & sympathiques. En général, si vous voulez goûter à la vraie cuisine japonaise à Montréal, je recommande vivement Sushi Hidden Fish. The restaurant has a very cool aesthetic & great atmosphere. The staff were all very attentive, professional, & helpful. All the food was absolutely amazing! What is striking about their maki is the progression of flavors you get with every bite. You can taste each expertly prepared ingredient. There are a lot of Japanese & sushi options around, but Hidden Fish is an absolute must to try!
Best sushi in Montreal, not even close. Service is great, ask for Wilson. He guided us on great meal & fish was top notch. Give this place a try you won't regret it. Hidden Fish shouldn't be hidden....
Honestly one the best sushi place I've ever been! The O-toro was melting in your mouth, the yagu felt like butter, it was simply delicious! The staff was very attentive, not missing anything, refilling the water after each sip lol. It was a great experience, definitely recommend!
We had a semi-private room upstairs. It was beautifully designed, but also very cramped, & some of the fussy details didn't make sense: • There were decorative seashells hanging from the ceiling, but they hung so low that my male guests & I kept hitting them when we stood up or gestured; • The chairs were very wide with curved backs, forcing you to slouch forward since you couldn't lean back. They were also so wide that the sides touched the chairs next to you, making you feel trapped; • I ordered an Old Fashioned, but the glass had a decorative streak of spices running down the side that was hard to see in the dim lighting & kept rubbing off on my hand; • One wall had a tacky painting of a Geisha that looked like it was done by an inexperienced art student. The room was also hot-my nieces complained, & I was almost sweating. The kind & attentive waiter, who had way too many tattoos & seemed a bit too prideful, said they didn't have climate control, so nothing could be done. We did omakase. The fish was high quality, & the presentation was good, but the sushi rice was a bit off-slightly undercooked. The staff seemed stiff & inexperienced, & there were beams of douchebag energy coming of some patrons, many of whom seemed like tourists. One table had a group of women who looked like prostitutes-& not in a good way. Worst of all, it took more than an hour to receive our first dish, & another 30-40 minutes for the second. Frustrated, we eventually left. EDIT (in response to owner's reply): I appreciate your explanations regarding the food delays. You're correct that we joined tables, affecting egress, but that doesn't change the issue with the seat width & design. I would also argue that for a party of eight, it's reasonable to expect to be seated together, not at two separate tables. As for my comment about your patrons, I certainly wasn't referring to "other families." Your waiter was, in fact, a gentleman. I described him as "kind & attentive" in my review. My remark about his tattoos wasn't mocking his appearance-he was quite handsome & well-dressed. I simply noted that he had too many tattoos. Tattoos are a personal style choice, not an immutable trait or a religious symbol. To analogize: if you had a disheveled waiter or one with a spiked orange mohawk, common sense suggests it would be reasonable to mention that in a review.
