What a special night this was! The room is beautiful. The food, ohmygod, the best sushi ever! Sometimes the explanations of the food & drinks was a little too much detail, but their heart was in the right place. I would come back here again, & again, & again...
Had a bit of a strange experience. It's a beautiful restaurant, food was great, drinks were great. But we arrived to a completely empty restaurant & they sat our party of four at the bar for our friends birthday, which we mentioned on our reservation. Then they did a lot of man-splaining about why they couldn't give us a table, which they Said was because of other reservations they had arriving. Ok, fine, I get that. However, then they just gave us a table for only one hour, claiming "you'll see that it will fill up at 7:30." It indeed did not fill up. Only one other party arrived at the end of our one for we were allowed to have the table & they still insisted on kicking us out to accommodate other customers, which didn't seem to be arriving. I would say it was probably our first & last time solely based on poor customer service.

I think this has to be my first ever review lol. I was visiting Montréal with my bf & we decided to walk into this restaurant because we wanted to have some lunch, not knowing whether it'd be good or bad. Once we walked inside we noticed how beautiful the ambiance was. Our server was so helpful & gave us some great recommendations for what to try out. The drinks were pretty good as well, but the service was as incredible as the food. We definitely have to return, can't stop thinking about their sushi.
Great shout to Mr.William our waiter he was every helpful with my wife & I ,it was our first time last night & what could I say BEAUTIFUL BELLA Excellent a really hidden gem in Montreal & trust me I live 50 minutes away from Montreal & was worth the drive Ciao
Hidden Fish is my all time favourite sushi restaurant in Montreal! I’ve tried so many places & none compare in the slightest. The sushi is ALWAYS fresh & the taste is unreal. I’ve never tried a bad roll of sushi, no matter what I get. The service is always amazing, & the atmosphere is just beautiful & peaceful. Overall, this will always be my favourite sushi in Montreal & I always recommend everyone to try it.

highly recommend the nigiri. we also ordered the salmon roll & a tuna tataki roll. the salmon was a bit on the sweeter side personally but still good. the lychee martini is also good
I had an incredible experience at Hidden Fish, it was truly special. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, & peaceful. It's probably in my top ten favorite restaurants for decor.
The service was impeccable. Phet took excellent care of us, found a wonderful saké to go with our meal, & was both friendly, & professional. The rest of the staff was also very professional. Everyone knew what they were talking about, & the timing for each serving was perfect.
As for the sushi - it is the best I have ever had. We elected to do chef's choice. I've never had such unique, yet authentic sushi before. They were also somehow able to know EXACTLY how much food to serve for six people. The salmon noodles were to die for, & I wish I knew the names of the other things we got. You can't go wrong with ordering here. From start to finish - miso soup, sushi, & dessert, everything was tasty, & perfect.
I'm incredibly sad I don't live here, but I plan on coming back every time I'm in Montréal. This was truly & unforgettable restaurant.

Excellent experience from start to finish. The restaurant itself is beautifully appointed, cozy & comfortable. The service was top notch. Understated, friendly & approachable while also knowledgeable, passionate & professional.
The food was visually appealing & absolutely delicious. We were incredibly satisfied with our meal. If we lived in Montreal, Hidden Sushi would be a regular stop for us, as it is we'll just have to look forward to our next trip!
Took my wife to Hidden Fish for our 10yr wedding anniversary. We are big sushi fans & were looking for something more high-end & authentic. Hidden Fish did not disappoint. Beautiful ambiance & vibe at the resto. The food was incredible, like no sushi I've ever had. Service was brilliant. they even remembered the surprise dessert for my wife at the end without having to remind them. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for high end sushi & an amazing dining experience.
Beautiful atmosphere. The quality of fish is top tier. I consider myself a sushi fanatic having tried soo many places & this is honestly the best sushi I've ever had in my life. 10/10 do recommend don't even think twice. MUST TRY IN MTL! Would drive back from toronto just to eat here again.

Ingredients were fresh, food was great, food display was beautiful, rolls were rolled tight.
Reception at the front should be more courteous. We did arrive 15 minutes late, I'll give them that, but we were greeted with "Just so you know, 20 minutes will be deducted from your time because you arrived late." Not the greeting that you would expect from such a highly rated restaurant. Just a friendly reminder of the time the table would be needed for the next service would have been just fine & much more welcoming.
We had a new waitress, she told us right off the bat that she was in training, which was fine - she was much more polite than the person at the reception. We needed more detailed suggestions though - another waitress came to tell us about suggestions for on & off menu items (their wagyu duck foie gras was truly excellent).
This place isn't exactly cheap (our bill was a little over 400$ for two) & we expected this (my husband has been here with his friend before). My husband took me here because he thought it was very good last time, but we both agreed that this time, the service (therefore our overall experience) could have been better. When you come to a restaurant like this, you expect to pay for the whole experience, not just the food.
