Fuimos a cenar después de ver el partido de Espana y celebrar el nuevo campeonato, pedimos ayuda para ver cómo iba la cosa y nos ayudaron a pedir la comida, te dan un número y te traen la cena a la mesa. Las fotos representan las ollas pequenas porque también las hay familiares y para compartir. Y para terminar te invitan a un helado de Ume, realmente riquísimo, a mí me sabía a galletas. Si te sobra comida te dan envases para llevar, así que si pasáis por Montreal no dudar en acercaros.
Le service est lent. Jai mis 4 maïs dans mon bol que j'ai payé au poids & j'en ai reçu que 2. Le bouillon est tellement brulant que c'est impossible à manger, il faut attendre une heure pour que ce soit tolérable, les nouilles ont le temps de devenir gluantes. Vraiment je me demande pourquoi j'ai fait l'erreur de donner du tip.
Edit 08/07: I recently went back to SoupZen, & while they have added some seasonal ingredients, the prices have definitely gone up! During my last visit, it totaled almost $45 for me for a bowl with the usual ingredients i put (veggies, some meats, & tofu). It's still a nice concept, but it definitely loses that affordability.

Love the concept of building your own soup, especially when it gets cold outside. I hope they can add more meat options in the future, but otherwise, the broths are great, & so are the available mix-ins. It can get pretty loud & busy at peak times, so highly recommend to reserve or join the waitlist early.
Très original comme concept avec un très grand choix de produits frais. Seul bémol, assurez-vous de vous inscrire dans la file d'attente à l'avance car on doit parfois attendre plus de 1h pour avoir une table.
Food was absolutely amazing, it always is. Ive been here four times & the two times out of four was a terrible experience.. i asked the lady to give me a new dish because it was dirty. She rolls her eyes, & slowly gives me a new dish & tongs. Asked for a takeout box, not sure if they forgot but i was waiting for 20 minutes until i put up the courage to ask again.. i could hear them & see them rolling eyes & talking bad about customers behind the counter. Honestly, this place has so much potential, but the people who work here are so rude. I understand working all day is hard & irratable but give me a valid reason as to why your being SO rude when i said please 5 times & thank you 10 times.. genuinely really rude people here.
Soup Zen propose un concept original & convivial qui permet de créer son propre bol selon ses envies. Dès l'arrivée, on prend un bol vide & on le remplit parmi un vaste choix d'ingrédients frais : légumes, champignons, nouilles, tofu, viandes & bien plus. Le parcours est simple à suivre & rend l'expérience interactive.
Une fois au comptoir, le bol est pesé, puis on choisit son bouillon parmi plusieurs options, dont différents niveaux de piquant ou des saveurs comme le Tom Yum. J'ai opté pour le bouillon épicé de niveau moyen, qui était parfaitement équilibré à mon goût : assez relevé pour apportez du caractère, sans masquer les saveurs des ingrédients.
Le repas est ensuite préparé sur place & apporté directement à la table à l'aide d'un numéro. La cuisson était réussie & le résultat vraiment savoureux. Des sauces sont également mises à disposition pour personnaliser encore davantage le plat selon les préférences de chacun.
L'ambiance est agréable, avec un décor moderne & une atmosphère cozy qui invite à prendre son temps. Le seul petit bémol est l'absence d'entrées ou de desserts au menu, ce qui aurait permis de compléter davantage l'expérience.
Au final, Soup Zen est une excellente adresse pour les amateurs de soupes & de ramens personnalisables. Le concept est ludique, les ingrédients sont variés & la qualité est au rendez-vous. Une belle découverte que je n'hésiterais pas à refaire.
