I have went here about 3 times so i would like to review it. Personally, im a big fan of soup & ramen & i feel like i can get everything here, i really love the various different ingredients you can choose from & the free sauce you can create yourself. In my last trip i was a bit dissapointed & also the one before that. Me & my sisters got sat on a table but there was nothing on there . Usually there is water & the chips. After ordering our food , in a busy environment, i had to kept raising my hand & asking for water, when i did get water, there was no ice in it & it tastes more like lemon water, usually the ice cancels that out, with my very spicy broth i needed cold water, but i just took it. I also had to ask for ice cream & got it 7 minutes after requesting it. The group infront of us was clearly being prioritized because the waiter/waitress would always ask if they wanted the ice cream yet & refill their water. The trip before was almost the same. I dont know if this is considered a big issue but I just want to share it.
This place had great prices for the amount of food I got, it had ~30 minute wait but it was totally worth it. They had a great verity of options of food & their signature broth is one of the best ramen broths I have ever had. Would come again 10/10
Had a really nice experience at Soup Zen! The food was good, although I found it a little pricey. But the lady working at the front counter was so kind & friendly, & honestly made the whole experience much better. She was very welcoming & helpful. Appreciated her great service & would come back again!

If people complain it doesn't taste good, it's most likely their fault for not choosing the right items & dipping sauces. It's literally a make your own bowl lol.
They messed up my order & then replaced with an almost inedible one: I ordered a stir fry spicy base & my partner ordered a soup base. There are definitely something messed up in the kitchen that we wait for a very long time & we see a family next to our table that arrived later than us already have their food. Then they brought my pot, the ingredients are right but it is a soup based. I raised that mine is a stir fry. They immediately took my pot away without saying anything. We did wonder how would they do to make a soup one into a stir fry with same ingredients as they didn't ask me to re-pick my ingredients. In a very short time, like 3-4 minutes, they brought me a new pot. However this one is basically all ingredients buried inside lots lots of tomato hot pot base. It's not a stir fry. The food is not hot just warm. But the most important is that it is super salty & oily & barely edible as it is just like eating the non diluted hot pot base directly. All veggies are heavily wrapped with thick hot pot base. It is like a retaliation against me asking about the wrong order. If they didn't have capacity to fix my order, they could tell me that they were too busy. I would understand & take the soup base one. I didn't ask for a new one, I simply just raised a question that the food brought to me was not what I ordered. Though the ingredients look right, it could be someone else's order. I couldn't finish the dish as it's too salty to even swallow, I was very hungry but I still could not eat it. I have to soak everything into my partner's soup before eating. As other reviews also mentioned, it is obviously that they can be very upset when they made mistakes. I'd suggest never raise any complaint or question, just take whatever you got otherwise you may end up with something you'd never want to eat.
Great place to have a soup or even a sauté. The staff is super friendly ! I highly recommend this spot for do it yourself. They have so many options & the price is very reasonable.
