Satu Lagi consistently impresses guests with its vibrant, high-quality Indonesian and Malaysian fusion cuisine, frequently earning praise for its fully gluten-free menu and welcoming atmosphere. Diners often highlight the flavorful satay, fried oyster mushrooms, and pandan creme brulee as standout dishes that deliver an authentic and memorable gastronomic experience. While some patrons find the portions small or the pricing premium, many view the restaurant as a must-visit destination in Montreal, especially for those seeking creative, allergy-friendly options, professional service, and a beautiful, cozy setting perfect for special occasions.
Had an incredible meal here. Server was welcoming & offered excellent recommendations from the all gluten-free menu. I had two small plates plus dessert & was absolutely stuffed. Chicken satay & pandan crème brûlée were highlights. This spot is best for smaller parties of 4 or less, & reservations recommended as it fills up quickly.
Dommage !
We had a great meal at Satu Lagi. The waiter guided us through the menu & we opted for the Jamur Jamur mushrooms (great with a sambal sauce), chicken satay (not bad but not great), rendang beef curry (a little one note in flavour), Chinese broccoli (so delicious!), & a chili cocktail (yummy)!
Another Montreal Gem. Delicious!
I went with three others. We shared the Sambal assortment as an appetizer. I had the Rendang Daging beef dish, very tender with coconut citronella rice, & the Kailan Bakar chinese broccoli side dish. The flavours are all amazing. I also had the fried bananas for dessert; it's all good. My friends loved their dinner choices, the service was excellent & the sound level allows for conversations without having to yell.
Also, it's 100% gluten-free, coeliac-friendly.
Apparently Satu Lagi means'One More', in English. I say'several more' is how often we'll be going back.
We truly enjoy dining at Satu Lagi whenever we are in Montreal. The authentic Indonesian cuisine is a major highlight, & the service is consistently excellent. My son particularly enjoys talking to Om Dana, who speaks Bahasa Indonesia, which makes our visits even more special.
We always make time to visit Satu Lagi to savor our favorite dishes. We love the ayam goreng & iga bakar, while my husband is a fan of the gudeg nangka. Our absolute favorite, however, is the Bebek Goreng, which is unfortunately not on the menu at the moment. We hope it will be available again soon.
Overall, Satu Lagi provides a delightful dining experience that keeps us coming back. It is highly recommended for anyone craving Indonesian food.
