A pretty chill bar like place with good food.
Ordered some of classics like the satay & the mi goreng. They arrived pretty fast & also tasted great. The mi goreng was tasted classic. The other noodles we got also tasted pretty good.
We also got some drinks. tried the Pandan cocktail & it was so good. The after taste of Pandan was especially nice while drinking.
The atmosphere & decoration was also really cool to see. Overall strong vibes!
Apprently groups of more than 4 don't get to choose what they want to order. I'm a big fan of Omakase & seasonal menus but this was literally the regular menu items you just don't get to choose... Food was hit or miss, bao buns & laksa are okay but that's about it. 1 drink we ordered was good the other was bad. Service was not great. After bringing up that one of the drinks tasted off I was argued with about what was wrong with it. I've been here a few years ago & it was good but wouldn't recommend it anymore. Prices are way too high for the quality you're getting.Voir plus
We had a team event/dinner here & everything was managed so well! The server was able to take everyone's dietary requirements into consideration & remember it when serving such a big group of moving around people!! The drinks were a solid 10/10! We had a table full of multiple dishes & the standout for me was definitely chicken satay & baos!!! Melt in mouth!Voir plus
It's a place to go to for drinks & to socialize. The food was good but I wouldn't go there just for the food. It is quite loud with a bar atmosphere.Voir plus
Amazing food. Crazy fast service. Delicious drinks. Reasonably priced. Server Frank was honestly the best customer service I have ever received in my entire life. Recommend 100%, will definitively be back soon!Voir plus
Satay Bros is a must when in Montreal! While you wait for your table, they have a bar next door complete with ample seating & a ping pong table for your entertainment. Our wait felt super short, & we didn't even finish our drinks. All of the food is delish, & we loved the bao buns, fried chicken & mee goreng.Voir plus
Super fun atmosphere, amazing food, great drinks, awesome service. We were 9 dudes & we had a ton of fun. Our server asked for a bit of guidance to help shape the menu but not having to order individually made things so easy, & everything was really delicious.Voir plus
Always a delight, & packed even on a Monday! Great drinks, service, food & vibes! My favourites are the pork bao buns, the chicken skewers & either the papaya salad or the spicy steak salad!!!Voir plus
Staff is awesome. Vibe is high energy plus caffeine shots. Food is fire; came twice in three nights to try to eat (& drink) everything on the menu. Had an awesome time each time. Highly recommend.Voir plus
This restaurant is a go to for myself & the people I love. The food is phenomenal. The service from the wait staff is unbeatable. You get your food quickly & they are super friendly. I love the familial atmosphere of the place & the staff. The only reason why I may remove a star is while confirming my reservation, I had to call about 5 times to get an answer. Once I had someone on the line, I had to find all the solutions for them not to cancel my birthday reservation as they were very strict on their 2hr policy. They were flexible after a bit of begging & showcasing that I was a regular customer bringing in a big group of first-timers that would be converted. Also, second note, the music gets very loud as the bar staff drinks with the customers later on in the night. I get it, it's a party vibe! It just got very loud & it was hard to hold conversations. Afterall, it is still one of my favourite restaurants on the Island of Montreal!!Voir plus
I love Satay Brothers, it's always such a vibe. The service is top notch - I remember a time it was pouring out & the host was giving out umbrellas to people waiting on the street & also taking orders for drinks. I had a spicy margarita waiting for a table. The food is fantastic as well, it goes without saying. The tempeh satay skewers, pork buns, & mi goreng are my go to dishes.Voir plus
One if my favourite place to eat & drink! The papaya salad & the satay are insane.Voir plus
We were in Montreal for the Grand Prix 24 & dropped by here for dinner & drinks. Staff, atmosphere, food 10/10. So hospitable, friendly & hard working. Will be back. Beautiful inside!Voir plus
A must. The service is friendly, welcoming, & extremely fast. You can tell this restaurant is very well established. Everything on the menu is delicious, many options & great seasonal rotations. Drinks are fantastic too! Try the spiked lemonade or satay bros lager.Voir plus
Food was AMAZING! Be careful ordering drinks they're hard not to keep ordering 🤣 but the steam buns were amazingVoir plus
We were a party of 17 people to eat the group menu at your restaurant at my suggestion. I ate the group menu there late last year & was super satisfied with the food & left with a full stomach. However, this time i was disappointed in the portions of the food & the guests left with unsatisfied bellies. In fact after dinner at Satay Bros, we ended up getting drinks at another pub where some of the guests had ordered food because we were still hungry. Also, the waiters didnt mention the names of the dishes which was unfortunate. So we were eating delicious food but would have no idea what to order if we ever decided to return.Voir plus
The owner it is in the house, the staff is happy, & the vibe is on point! Recommendations, food excellent drinks. Recommend highly!Voir plus
I have been a fan of Satay Brothers since they opened but in the last two years I don't know what happened - I've never felt so unwelcome in a place. The last two times I went this year (May 2023 & March 2024) was the same: enter the restaurant, uncomfortably wait around for at least 10min in the entrance while staff walks around you & never acknowledge you (until THEY are ready to do so), wonder what is happening & whether you should just leave, then someone takes your name & shuffles you to their bar next-door so you can drink while you wait - but no one ever really tells you how long the wait will be. I'm happy to wait 1-2hrs but you have to tell me. That's called managing expectations. Food is good but for the service you get from the moment you walk in to when you pay, there are better options. I'm speaking as someone who highly values service quality. That said, if you're looking for a nice night out & to feel part of the "in crowd" & service quality isn't something important to you, then definitely go bc that's exactly what you're gonna get. The decorations are gorgeous & the music is great. Social media has that part right. Anyway, your money & your decisions!Voir plus
Satay Brothers is a unique restaurant with soul & passion, providing an amazing menu with unique flavours through their wonderful service. This is the first restaurant in North America that I've seen have regulars - people from the neighborhood that come to this place for fine food & comfort. The Singaporean spired menu packs a delicious medley of flavours with ingredients not seen in North American cuisine. Prices are a bargain for what you're getting - freshly made pork baos & chicken skewers & whatever else they have on the menu - everything I tasted was delicious. The restaurant is clean, the music is great, the staff are wonderful & friendly, it's a true neighbourhood gem & a great place to eat or have a drinkVoir plus
Simply the best place in Quebec. There is nothing to compare to the style, vibe, quality of food or drinks anywhere. Plus the owner is one of the nicest people! Highly recommended.Voir plus
Some of the best service in the city. Frank is one of the best waiters I’ve had at a resto in a long time. Food was great, don’t skip on the fried chicken steam buns or the papaya salad. We did a group menu, the quality & amount of food you get for 50$ a person is very worth it. Drinks were also great, moscow mule & spicy marg both 10/10. The music is good, the crowd is cool, the service was impeccable. We will be back for sure!Voir plus
One of my absolute favorite spots in Montreal, a guaranteed good time with awesome staff, service, food & drinks!
Best food
Best service
Best vibe
Always amazing every & the drinks are different level
We were a group & had the sharing menu. Everything was delicious. Drinks & our dinner were amazing. The wine recommendation was perfect. But the staff was even better! They were very welcoming, & service was exceptional! I have already spread the word to many friends & have intentions of going back very soon.
