All is well that ends well. - We often order St-Hubert with the kids but this time was horrible. Ordered on a Thursday. Delivery on the app said 45 minutes. After 1h15 minutes I called customer service because it said our order was on the way for the last 30 minutes (we are 10 mins away from the restaurant). They apologized but said they were short on delivery people & that they would be at our place in the next 10 minutes. No offer to credit anything. We received our order 1h45 after we placed it. The delivery guy almost gave me the wrong order & in the end, food was super cold. Very disappointed they did not warn us of delays & then did not offer any compensation for extra long wait. I will think again next time I wish to order from there.
I haven't had St-hubert in many years & decided to give it another try. This time for delivery.
PROS
- Super easy ordering through their website, but a little disappointed they have a driver tracker like Uber or DDash
- Chicken was VERY tender & nice rotisserie skin
- Very nice coleslawe
- Sauce is a classic. Salty yes but that's the way it's made.
CONS - This is where they lost the 2 points
- Delivery took forever. I ordered at 4:15PM on a Saturday. It should not have taken over an hour.
- Because of the lateness of the delivery, the food was LUKEWARM!
Overall a mixed bad, but disappointed. Next time I will pick up.
Despite having a packed schedule, I deeply appreciate the ambiance & ritual of dining out. For me, stepping into a restaurant is like attending a live stage production-each member of the staff, from the cooks to the waitstaff, plays a role in orchestrating the experience. The final act, the presentation of the meal, is the satisfying dénouement. Everyone walks away fulfilled: the customer with a delicious meal, the server with a well-earned tip, & the restaurant with another satisfied guest.
However, with time being a rare luxury, many of us rely on takeout as the next best option. In today's fast-paced world, food delivery apps have made this incredibly convenient, whether it's through platforms like Uber Eats or a restaurant's delivery service. I tend to opt for pick-up. It's more cost-effective, & I like to double-check the order before leaving. After all, when kitchens are running at full speed, human errors can happen.
I've had a few instances over the years where something in the order was missing, which often leads to an awkward return trip & the uncomfortable feeling of having to'prove' your case. Sometimes, the interaction can be tense-something no customer (or staff member) enjoys.
This brings me to a recent experience with Restaurant St-Hubert, a restaurant I've been loyal to for over 25 years. Every Saturday, like clockwork, I place the same order through their app-just a few taps, payment confirmed, & I'm off to pick it up. It's become a comforting weekly ritual. However, this past Saturday, something felt off. The box was unusually light, & once I got home & wrestled through the tightly secured packaging-you practically need scissors to cut through those plastic ties-I discovered that the fries were missing. All that remained was a solitary chicken breast. I was understandably frustrated. It was such a simple order-how could something so basic be overlooked?
Still, instead of marching back to the restaurant, I decided to submit feedback through the app when prompted about my experience. To my surprise, within a minute, I received a $5 credit toward my next order. No phone calls, no arguments-just quick, courteous resolution. & sure enough, the following Saturday, everything was back to normal. The meal was complete &, once again, satisfying.
Some of my friends argued that I should have asked for a full refund. But honestly, is that the kind of society we want to live in-one where we capitalize on every minor mistake for maximum gain? I believe in fairness & understanding. Mistakes happen. What matters most is how a business responds, & Restaurant St-Hubert did so swiftly & respectfully.
This experience reminded me why I remain a loyal customer. Restaurant St-Hubert is more than just Quebec's top chicken restaurant-they consistently offer quality food, dependable service, & genuine customer care. They serve not only great rotisserie chicken, but also ribs, burgers, wraps & comforting seasonal fare. & when they get something wrong, they make it right-without drama.
In a world where good service is often taken for granted, it's important to give credit where it's due. So here's a heartfelt thank-you to St-Hubert-for making things right, for understanding the value of loyalty, & for being a reliable part of my weekly routine. Sometimes, a small act of good service deserves a big shout-out. @mtlrestorap
I've been a fan of St. Hubert since I was a kid, & have always enjoyed their food, but this location can't seem to keep the same standard as the rest. In my experience, this location cuts down on portions significantly & someone still manages to deliver subpar food. For example I'll order a large family serving of fries, (as its cheaper to feed many people) & find the fries cold & undercooked, & the box only half the way full. Or the rotisserie chicken being overcooked & dry to the point where we feed a lot of it to our cat. I really can't fathom why this location in particular always manages to deliver a bad experience, no matter how many times I try giving them another chance. I've tried calling them, only to be ignored & hung up on, or placated by them saying they'll do better next time. The staff seem polite & the in store experience might be different, but as it stands the delivery service is well below that of every other restaurant in the area. If you want some solid advice, head to a different branch & save yourself the trouble.
i order delivery quite often & i love this place. food is always bomb & they always follow my requests. definately ordering again soon
It was for a delivery. I live 10 minutes from the restaurant. The fries were cold & hard. Is there a way to keep them warm? I have had delivery of fries from another restaurant in the same area of St-Hubert & their fries were warm & freshly cooked.

Reliable & fast delivery. If you are looking for basic roasted chicken or a club sandwich that is always consistent, this is the place to order from.
