We got the Classic(6/10) & the Tiramisu(7/10) rolls.
The Classic didn't have enough cinnamon going on so most of the flavour came from the cream cheese frosting, which was fine.
Tiramisu did not have a strong Tiramisu flavour.
Overall yum! Just not quite as yum as expected.
We will be coming back to try the other flavours!!

Was passing by to see my brother , stopped in on the way, il had a classic one & the Dough was raw & wasnt what i tought IT would be , sorry but i always say IT as i see it
I was very excited to try Rolly's & to be honest it didn't meet my expectations. The classic & biscoff rolls were definitely good but the tiramisu & Nutella ones weren't that good.
What begins as visual delight soon turns to sensory despair as the cramped & chaotic shop keeps you stuck with its cloying sweetness & staff inefficiency. I had so looked forward to finding a cinnamon bun with a classic brioche dough & cream cheese frosting but one bite told me this was not food but artful imitation. The frosting had an unsettling texture & im fairly certain they use a cinnamon extract flavouring agent instead of quality cinnamon. Baudrillard could write a book about it.
Went there for the first time & good thing there were no lines. I got the classic & nutella flavor & both were delicious. I just think that the bread is a little bit dry & the nutella doesn't taste like nutella. Other than that, the glace tastes good.
Pretty solid dough just wish the classic wasn't cream cheese icing so it was more of an actual classic cinnamon bun😭 I don't understand the obsession with cream cheese, tasted more like a red velvet cake or cream cheese bagel than a cinnamon bun. I need the gooey cinnamon & the nice vanilla icing, pleaseeeeeeeeeee please please #creamcheesehate
I am crestfallen at making this review honestly. I love pastries & I was especially excited about trying the viral cinnamon rolls here, finally some at Montreal! They looked soooo good too! Unfortunately, the classic cinnamon roll I got was underbaked (my friend who is a baker can attest to that since she tasted it too), it was such a disappointment. I had taken a special raspberry one, which was better too (baked well), but too sweet. I sadly expected better.
Rolly's is a super tiny cinnamon bun spot on St. Catherine West. Getting there was honestly a bit of a mission with all the traffic & construction in the area - I almost didn't go because of it.
When I walked in, they only had the raspberry pistachio ready. I waited for the classic, & the Biscoff came out shortly after. They have so many flavours - apple, orange, tiramisu, & more. I genuinely love the creativity behind the concept. From what I saw, everything looked beautiful.
The raspberry pistachio wasn't really my thing - I found the raspberry a bit too sour for my taste. The classic, though, was solid. The bun was soft & pillowy, served warm & fresh. The cream cheese frosting was pretty good too.
Full transparency: I'm not a huge cinnamon bun person in general, so take that into account. But from what I experienced, they're doing fresh, creative, well-made buns.
I don't know if I'll personally be back just because cinnamon buns aren't my go-to, but if you're a fan, this place is definitely worth checking out for the variety alone.
The reviews you read are accurate, I went on a Wednesday at 130pm , the place is small, so line up happens fast. There was about 8 people in front of me & the line was going out the door as it fits about 10 people inside. The 2 employees serving the cinnamon buns had 0 urgency, they were serving people like you were the only one in the store, & no that's not a good thing. They had no hustle, no rush, no quick skills to get the line moving. They either need to have a 3rd employee serving or train there employees to add some urgency when there's a line. When I finally got served after about 30 minutes of waiting, the line was now onto the sidewalk around the building.
As for the cinnamon buns: the original is delicious, the flavored ones are so-so, we got strawberry, pistachio & lemon, the lemon was my favorite of the 3 flavors. The original is great but the cream cheese icing is a little over powering, if they made a classic cinnamon glaze without cream cheese it would probably be a 10/10!
We went as a special treat for a birthday & live 50 minutes away so it isnt something we would go to often if ever again. But its good to try if youre in the area. If they improve the service it would also be alot better!
I took the tiramissu one, but it tasted more cinnamon than a Italian classic. I was disappointed as I thought getting mascarpone flavor & coffee for a tiramissu flavor.
