Robbie's Smokehouse & Burger Bar comes through in reviews as a lively, welcoming spot where the focus is on big portions of smoky, flavorful meat, with brisket and ribs repeatedly praised and burgers considered solid or standout. Guests appreciate the generous portions, affordable pricing, and a menu that suits families and groups looking to share a platter or watch a game on the many screens. The atmosphere is described as warm, fun, and sports bar like, though it can get noisy and busy, especially on weekends, with fast service at the bar and attentive staff noted by many, while a few experiences mention slower table service or mixups during peak times. Consistency varies for some dishes, with some meals superb and others not as strong, but overall the consensus is that the food is tasty and the meat is well cooked when executed well. Reservations are advised on busy nights, and the place is widely seen as a dependable go to for meat lovers seeking hearty meals in a vibrant setting with a strong crowd.
If you like smoked or barbecue meat it's great. I've been to Texas many times & this is just as good as the traditional BBQ down there. I usually get brisket when I go to Robbie's & it's lovely. Affordable, fast, good service, very clean.
We had the platter for 2, the brisket was full of fat, pulled pork was cold, sausage was ok,chicken was good,& bake potatoes were cold. 122$ & we left 70% of the meal there, we also asked for fully loaded bake potatoes, 14$ charge for that.
Impressive. We were just passing through Quebec & set our GPS to the closest BBQ establishment, as its hard to find back home. You can imagine our pleasant surprise as we pulled up to smell smoke in the air & the place absoultely buzzing. We knew it was going to be good right away, & it did not disappoint. Best brisket that I have found in Canada so far. Ribs were fantastic. Service was excellent. The vibe was wonderful. Prices reasonable. This will be our new pit stop every trip... 5 stars!!
My first time here had the Brisket it was amazing I loved the vibe big screen TVs, music playing. Staff very friendly. I will definitely come back again 🙂
Very good place to eat BBQ meal with my kids. Thanks again. Brisket quality 👌
Why go Montréal & get jammed in traffic 🙄 This place make the experience much much better.

Super service de notre serveuse Nada(j'espère l'avoir écrit correctement). bonne bouffe. Brisket, poulet frit & cotes levées. Miam miam. Déjà hâte d'y retourner. 1h de route en valait la peine.
We went on a Saturday not knowing it would be so packed. Seated at the bar, which we did not like, & the manager was kind of an ass. Very abrupt in speaking with customers, screaming across the resto right behind customers, just...maybe he was stressed & busy, but a bad vibe.
Luckily, the bartender who was our server for the evening was amazing. Always close by, super nice & always helpful.
We shared the 2-person BBQ plate:
1. Upgraded to sweet potato fries, they were insane, some of the best I've had.
2. Smoked sausage was a highlight, very good.
3. Brisket, when you don't pay extra for lean, is about 80% fat, & poorly rendered, so lacked flavor.
4. Roast beef is quite unusual for barbeque, & it's thing, grey-ish appearance was a bit of a turn off, it was okay.
5. Chicken was nice, but quite dry.
6. Pulled Pork served NOT in a sauce is a food crime. Seriously. Sauce your meat, people.
7. Ribs were fantastic!
Am I going back? Yes, a second try for sure - but will stick to those sweet potato fries, sausage & ribs. Would I go back without Playground next door? Not sure...they seem to go hand in hand.
Honestly great food, it was good. We got the 2 person platter. It gave us a chance to try their different bbq meats & I'll be going back for that beef brisket for sure. Seating was comfortable. I know, but for me it was just the popcorn thing. I didn't know you had already bought her a piece of cake, but I don't know maybe. I really enjoyed their milkshake.

For being called a smokehouse the smoked meats are terrible. Brisket has no taste to it, pulled pork is soggy, roast beef was watery all have been overcooked & had very little smoke ring. Chicken was well cooked & ribs were not bad. Same review from multiple people in our party. Burgers were excellent. Very disappointed to see a smoker & it wasn't smoking in the entry way, does this mean the meat is smoked & then stored for hours & then re heated? We have been to multiple smokehouse around North America & first time we see a smoker not running.
Used to be a go-to spot a few years back, so I came back hoping the BBQ was still fire. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The'jumbo' wings were super small, beet salad was tiny & way too salty, & the brisket? Dry, like really dry. Even the brisket nachos were lacking - not enough toppings like before. The vibe & service are still chill, but the food just didn't hit the same
Ribs pretty good, could be better. Mac & cheese used penne pasta. Brisket was very fatty & chewy at some parts. Not nearly as tender as it should be. Wasn't even cut properly, who cuts brisket with the grain lol dissapointing for 36 a pound.

Went with a large group. Felt mostly ignored at first. I think it took us two hours by the time we sat to the time we got our meals. Wait staff looked more annoyed by us than anything. Multiple forgotten drink orders.. Had a table full of kids & they had no clue which kid was getting which meal despite the kids not moving seats, even though they tried to blame it on that. Brisket I got was more fat than brisket... It was cold & rather tasteless. My kid got ribs & they weren't that great. Again more fat than meat. The bacon onion ring entrée was good though. I liked this place for their lunch buffet but as a seated service restaurant I'm not a fan. Not thinking of going back.
