I've been here multiple times for lunch or dinner & it's always been a great time with delicious food! My go to is the Pizza Del Chef & when I'm feeling for something extra, the Soup of the Day is a good choice as well.
This place was awesome I haven't had a really good Italian place in a while & their bread was out of this world. Glad I stumbled on this gem.
Absolutely love it here, it's the most cozy & sweet restaurant in downtown Montreal. The music & ambience make you feel like you're in a little Italian cafe. The pasta is delicious & made with fresh ingredients. The pizza was slightly hard, but still delightful! Wonderful service & atmosphere, we love coming here!
The service is great & has a classic retro vibe.
The food, however, is average but decently priced. It's a safe location to choose if you would like to stick to North American style Italian food.
Stopped in late, around 10:30 pm for a pizza, since many other places closed their kitchen already. I loved the older, authentic Italian vibe. Felt like the restaurant is straight out of the Godfather. Ordered a pizza. It was very good, just didn't like the dry crust. Employees were friendly. A very pretty Italian girl took my order. Seems like maybe it's family owned & operated.
I had a wonderful experience at Restaurant Siciliana in Montreal. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, & the service was friendly from start to finish. The pizza was outstanding-perfectly crisp crust, fresh ingredients, & full of flavor. The chicken parmigiana was equally delicious, tender & perfectly seasoned with a rich, comforting sauce. Overall, a fantastic meal. I'll definitely be returning & highly recommend it to anyone craving great Italian food in the city!
Finding this gem in Montreal was a very happy accident for my husband & I. Honestly, the most delicious authentic Italian food we've had in Canada! & we only had to drive 5 hours to find it! Our kind waiter provided friendly & knowledgable service, & the kitchen provided exceptional food. A must if you're visiting downtown Montreal. Steps from Rue Ste Catherine, too! Ten stars!
The food was authentic Italian food,
I loved the bread on the starter.
Real food for a fair price!
Restaurant Siciliana had a somewhat authentic Italian feel to it, with a cozy atmosphere. The food had great flavor, & I enjoyed the tortellini soup & chicken parmesan. However, the chicken was so thin that it ended up overcooked & a little hard around the edges.
Unfortunately, the experience was marred by some issues. Some of the staff were sitting at tables playing on their phones & just staring around, which made me feel uncomfortable. Additionally, the restaurant was filled with fumes from the brick oven & looked smokey. You could see the black char going up the brick oven & on the ceiling tiles.
Overall, I would not recommend Restaurant Siciliana if you are visiting Montreal.
What a fantastic way to ring in the New Year! Restaurant Siciliana was the perfect choice for our New Year's Eve celebration. Despite the busy night, the service was outstanding - attentive & friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, & the atmosphere was lively & festive. We were so impressed, & we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine with a great ambiance.
A cosy authentic Italian restaurant. The crunchy bread rolls are delicious, pasta servings are very generous & the wood-fired pizza is very good.
Avoid the pasta with seafood. It didn't taste right, was not al dente & gave me a very bad upset stomach. Also, I was offered parmigiano with it which is heresy :-) ! The baked eggplant were ok. On the positive side, service is good, prices are not too high & the bread is made on the spot in the wood fired oven. Bottom line: not authentic Italian but will hit the spot, just don't order iffy stuff.
There are no Italians here, much less Sicilians. We had a calzone - the dough was too tough to cut with the knife, & veal scallopini - 4 small dark pieces which were actually beef, & barely chewable. The piccata sauce was good but didn't make up for the tough, tasteless meat. So sorry we fell for the red checkered tablecloths... & I'm not making this up!
If you want cheap food in the city, this is the place to go. Found it to be Canadian style Italian food. Ingredients were not good quality. Washrooms were very old & dirty. Waiter was very attentive.
Old Italian style restaurant offering pizza wood oven. Loved the atmosphere, giving me tony soprano vibes :)) budget friendly restaurant
So here the thing - service was great, nice vibe, classic home style Italian restaurant. HOWEVER - I received something tainted with peanuts & ended up in the hospital shortly after leaving. If you have a peanut allergy I would recommend you look elsewhere.
