The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, & the service was friendly from start to finish. The pizza was outstanding-perfectly crisp crust, fresh ingredients, & full of flavor. The chicken parmigiana was equally delicious, tender & perfectly seasoned with a rich, comforting sauce. Overall, a fantastic meal. I'll definitely be returning & highly recommend it to anyone craving great Italian food in the city!
We ordered pizza, but it wasn't very flavorful , it felt a bit bland, & there was no sauce. The crust was slightly burnt. Usually, we would ask for the bill, but it was brought to us without asking. There were two staff members; the girl was very kind, but the man's service could have been more professional.
I used to love this place what happened?! The service has gone down the drain the spot seems like it needs lots of love & a revamp. Its just not whst it used to be the quality has gone fiwn immensely. The pasta I ordered was so dry & lacked sauce & personality. Very disappointed. Unfortunately will no longer be returning.
The mens bathroom needs fixing, & it is definitely not in the norms of health & safety for restaurants. Doors dont lock, & the bathrooms are dirty. The bathrooms need to be as clean as the kitchens. Pasta isnt home made ( maybe the sauce ), & the pizzas are made from scratch.
Been going here for years & never seems to disappoint. The wood oven pizza is a must. Their linguini primavera in rosee sauce keeps wanting you to come back for more. Service is always friendly & pleasant & ambiance is definitely old school but intimate. A lovely place to dine-in.
There are no Italians here, much less Sicilians. We had a calzone - the dough was too tough to cut with the knife, & veal scallopini - 4 small dark pieces which were actually beef, & barely chewable. The piccata sauce was good but didn't make up for the tough, tasteless meat. So sorry we fell for the red checkered tablecloths... & I'm not making this up!
Great food & friendly service. Quiet atmosphere with unobtrusive music (though we were there late on a rainy Friday so it may not always be quiet). Very reasonably priced thanks to favorable USA exchange rate. Bolognese sauce was world class. Excellent veal scallopini with fried potatoes & steamed veg from the price fixe menu. Unusual treatment of tiramisu but that was also outstanding. You can tell that they use quality ingredients & are skilled at using them.
On vacation in Montreal, kids were craving for pasta for dinner, saw this place near by our hotel. I know the reviews weren't up there, but figured reviews aren't always accurate. Just like my previous experience in Brussels, a high google review restaurant but turned out to be a tourist trap. So this Italian restaurant was decent, 3.9 stars was just about right. We ordered Penne with pink sauce with meat balls, & chicken fettuccine Alfredo & a large Caesar salad. Everything turned out okay, only the meat ball was kinda flaky, it wasn't as good as traditional meat balls. Caesar salads were mediocre at best with bacon bites. Usually Caesar salads don't have bacon bites. But the ladies that took our order was friendly & nice. Which is a plus for services. But the restaurant really needs some update, as it feels like outdated pizzeria in the 1980s.
The restaurant looks & feels authentic I had the Tortellini gigi wasn't a fan of of the pasta but I loved the sauce & the mushrooms & the big bits of bacon. My wife had the linguini vongole it was good she enjoyed it.
Big portions, lots of seafood in the seafood risotto. Linguine with white clam sauce made with cream - tasty but not my cup of tea. Manicotti - good. My sister in law wasn't crazy about the veal. Prices seemed reasonable & service was great!
Excellent restaurant !
I went here with my mom for our first dinner out in Montreal in Oct & really liked the inside décor & the giant brick oven behind tucked in the corner. I ordered the Fileto Di Sole Al Limone it wasn't the most visually appealing dish for sure but the flavor profiles definitely came out in the sauce. Very good place for pizza I could imagine.
Our first visit to Siciliana. Audrey, our server was amazing. Super friendly & attentive. Wood fired pizza oven & fresh pasta are the staples here. A real "mom & pop" feel to the place. A diverse crowd - families & students. The only down side was the veal in the veal masala, salty & over cooked; the sauce & mushrooms were spot on. My manicotti was good. Fresh & tasty. Servings were generous. Our bottle of ripasso was the perfect compliment. Next time, we will try the pizza!
