Can't say enough about this place. My 2 colleagues invited me for a year-end (thank you) lunch just today & I can't believe how delicious everything was, from the fresh bread & humus, to the endive salad & Beef tartare. & don't forget our sommelier, the lovely Salomé, a genuinely nice person who takes pride in her work & wine knowledge. Presents the dishes with such passion. Everything was perfect & can't wait to go back.
J'ai soupé au Mélisse le 21 août & tout était parfait.
Le service de Myriam était extraordinaire. Sympathique, drôle & elle sait même le nombre de tranches qui sont servies avec le contre-filet tellement elle connaît son menu.
La nourriture était excellente. Faites-vous plaisir & commandez les falafels & la salade verte en entrée. Le contre-filet était délicieux & le jus de boeuf aussi.
Bref, toute la soirée méritait un 5/5.

dessert & felafel , the salad was great but the rest was really not good for a price range of $150 per person on average. Service was friendly & polite
Honestly if this place was a cheap place to eat i wouldn't leave a comment. BUT SPENDING OVER 100$, I HAVE THE RIGHT TO LEAVE A COMMENT.
If you like basic food, this is the place to go.
I personally believe that restaurants are meant to show their creativity & passion for food. Mélisse seems like it's more focused on its interior design. BEAUTIFUL.
HOWEVER, you can't serve food that people can easily make at home at a high price. Salmon on toast? You want to put that in your menu, the smoked Salmon or gravlax better be home made with home made bread & something MORE.
It's insulting to receive chicken sandwich on a DESSERT PLATE. No little salad on the side. The plating needs improvement.
The chackchouka needs more flavour because it tastes like canned tomatoes with some cumin. The bread was good but 6 dollars for 4 mini pieces of bread?
The pancake is lackluster. It's very basic. Did the chef follow some recipe you can find on YouTube?
I dont know who the chef is but the menu seems like it was copied off of some pilate girl who wants to show of her'amazing' healthy recipes. Nothing seems professional. You want to put a big price, then put a professional menu that shows that the restaurant has REAL CHEFS & not a person who just likes to follow pilate girl recipes.

Excellent service de Jean-Sébastien (encore une fois)! Sa passion nous mets en appétit. Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre repas, particulièrement la désormais classique salade d'endive, le pain plat, & l'entrée de courgette au labneh. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié le choix des vins au verre, ce qui nous a donné la possibilité de varier nos accords. Merci!

The hummus lacked pizazz; it wasjust ok. The chicken brochette was not very flavorful. Again, spices were lacking. The endive salad was very flavorful as was the dorade ceviche. The service was excellent!

Great lunch spot with dainty patio & light food options. We enjoyed a salad & a pasta on a humid Montreal day, & the place was ideal for it. The seats filled up quite rapidly during lunch time, but didn't feel too packed or noisy.
This was an experience of beautifully subtle proportions! The atmosphere is amazing, beautiful décor, lighting, space. The food was beyond exceptional. For example, the endive salad is so perfectly dressed, that the endives themselves are not bitter at all. The beef tartare... OMG... absolutely heaven, & quite unique in its preparation. The staff is quite knowledgeable for wine pairing, as well as just being cozy & welcoming. VERY family atmosphere between all the staff, which shows they are well treated, & enjoy their job. This is always nice to see & feel. Can't wait until our next experience there!!!

Très bon restaurant! Le tartare de boeuf est à tomber & les desserts sont aussi délicieux. Le crudo de flétan, les salades, les falafels & le pain/houmous étaient aussi très bons! Un sans faute car le service aussi, très agréable. Très belle découverte
Everything is good ...falafels, aubergine, calamari's, the endive salad, try everything. I am always impressed with the service, the quality of the food & wine list
We came here for a weekday lunch. I strongly recommend making reservations in advance because we waited for more than 20 minutes to be seated although a couple of tables were empty. They have a modest fusion menu that varies from Mediterranean cuisine to seafood & tartare. The decoration of the restaurant is very cute & cozy, it has bigger tables for gatherings & also high bar chairs if you want to bring your laptop & work there. The service is rather slow though & might not be efficient during a work- day lunchtime. We ordered "Hummus with Pita", Chicken Skewers with Tzatziki", "Fattoush Salad" & "Seasoned Fish". Hummus & salad were really good. Chicken skewers tasted okay, but fish wasn't seasoned enough & was smelly. I would definitely love to try their weekend brunch.
This place rockkkss omg. The service was beyond amazing & friendly.
Must order items:
- Endive salad
- the pasta of the day (anchovy butter clam pasta) was actually incredible
- Dessert (they change but the chocolate peanut butter tart was so so amazing)
The falafel was good but nothing too crazy.
It’s the perfect vibe for a nice dinner or date. Very vibey & wonderful lighting. Everything is meant to be shared.
They have an extensive cocktail menu.
It would be hard to eat here for under $45.

Carte simple & efficace. Tout est délicieux. Petit faible pour le tartare & la salade d'endives. Excellent service personnalisé. Stationnement facile d'accès souterrain (11$)
We loved our brunch experience at Le Melisse. It is a beautiful space & is not very loud like so many restaurants. We loved our round table for four. Our server was lovely & so professional & willing to go the extra mile. The food was fantastic & the portions very generous. We loved the mimosa, the bloody caesar, the pastries, the breakfast sandwiches & the classic breakfasts as well as the endive salad. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Montreal.
