dim sum(28) chinese(19) dishes(13) fresh(11) chicken(11) busy(10) fried(9) group(8) tasty(7) parking(7) noodle(7) quick(7)Their service is poor, & they expect a 20% tip. If you don't give it, they'll say,'the service is always like this, & if you don't like it, don't come back! We will black list you!' I calmly replied,'ok, I won't come back.' Somehow, my indifferent attitude upset them, & the male manager confronted me & my husband, shouting at us. This place is a complete circus. I suspect they've already blacklisted many residents of West Island. We definitely need another dim sum restaurant to compete with this terrible place.
The manager is terrific! Always appreciate his fast service & very considering man. Love the decor too!
Restaurant Impérial - Pointe-Claire
Avoid this restaurant like the plague…
Had the ABSOLUTE WORST experience yesterday afternoon! Went in at 14h15 for a quick late lunch… scanned the QR code that they provided to order the Daily Lunch Special for $8.95, the Cantonese-Style Crispy Noodles. Five minutes later, a waiter comes up to tell me there's no more. I asked, what do you mean there's no more… lunch is from 10h00 to 15h00?? He said the manager stop the special as it is Lunar New Year Week. I retorted by pointing out that New Year's Day is tomorrow, not today! I asked to speak to the Owner which he refused, I demanded to speak to the Manager… as I waited, the couple at the table next to me expressed the same exasperation ordering the same daily special today. The manager (pictured below) refused to honor their special clearly available to order on their menu system & refused to allow me to speak with the Owner. He threw me out of the restaurant as I voiced that I would make a complaint to the Head Office at the Brossard location, go on Social Media to share their unethical business practices & file a formal complaint with the OPC!!
This establishment has been less than stellar since the very beginning during their soft opening when menu items were unavailable to order, short staff both in the kitchen & dining room, extremely long waits for your orders to be served, very unprofessional management team including but not limited to the Manager pictured below! & to top it off, their food isn't even anything special, bland taste at best…
OBVIOUSLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!
It's is by far the worst restaurant experience I've ever had... Extremely slow service & totally rude staff !!!
Don't bother going, your time & money deserve better !
Extremely poor service!! The place was half empty on a Friday night at 7h00 & they could not be bothered coming to our table (small group of 6) to offer us water &/or ask if we wanted to purchase beer or wine to go with our food. Also, we kept a menu to order a second round of food, but they never came back after the first service to ask if we still wanted to order more. Oh, & they don't want to make separate bills, it's one bill per table & you figure it out amongst yourselves after. It says it on each menu, only one bill per table!!! We will never going back...
I would give a'0' if there was one. I went to pickup an UE food order for a client on St Valentine day & the manager pointed at me very arrogantly in front of the big line up of customers waiting for picking up their orders with his finger as If I was his dog. Few mins later a nice person next that was speaking in british accent went to inquire on his late order & the owner told him off, his wife started saying rude rude in a loud voice as they got very made, I hope he steps in & share his negative experience. Another kid comes in & accuses me that I was blocking the way when I became angry & started asking to be treated as humans & with respect, a young lady came in & hit me in the shoulder & right away that kid took her side & pointed his finger to my head saying do not scream at my girlfriend, I was not even talking to her. I cancelled the order & left. I will file in a police report, hopefully they will get a big fine & license sudpended, very arogant, rude, disrespectful management.
Had a good experience at Imperial Dim Sum. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, & came out hot. Service was smooth & the place felt comfortable. Prices are a bit higher than other dim sum spots, but the quality is there. Still a nice treat once in a while.
great service great food tasty & hot. reasonably priced. of course I try to go on hours when they are less busy. not wanting to wait in the cold weather. this restaurant is operated professionaly. real Gem
Very good! I was always disappointed with the dimsum options in montréal but this was very good. Sadly it's quite expensive but that's my only comment. The Charsiu BBQ buns are to die for !
The service wasn't bad, they were not rude, but I don't think you should have to run after the server for a glass of water. Don't order the beef. The texture was rubber like & the server said that because they give big portions, they couldn't garantie good quality of the meat. The general tao was alright, not the best. Dumplings were good.
Great place with plenty of parking & excellent service.
The food is underwhelming & bland however. Underseasoned is an understatement.
We had Dimsum & it was generally ok.
The chicken feet were good.
The dumplings seemed starchy & bland.
The hot & sour soup was neither hot or sour - easily fixed.
Fried stuff was ok.
Overall it is a repeat for us based on the fantastic service.
Good but not great.
Very good food, great choice. Lovely atmosphere. Sometimes waiters are hard to come by because they service soo many people so getting water refilled or if you are missing a dish it could takes little while. Still great overall.
I'm glad this place exist outside of Chinatown. Great food. Delicious! ❤? They have an easy way to order. Use their app. Scan the QR code, read the vast menu & select.
Wish I could eat there every weekend for Dim Sum but then again, maybe I will 😉
Third time here. The last time I went, it was for a party, the restaurant was able to accommodate around 50-60 people. However, one thing I would suggest is to have a separate section for larger groups (similar to Olympia Restaurant on St Jean) so we're not all packed up together.
My nephew had recommended this place as he'd been a couple of times before. So we met up with him for Dim Sum Dec. 28/25. We arrived there at 10:15 am which was a good time because before knew it the place was packed--& that's noteworthy because there is a lot of seating there!
Staff were super friendly & attentive making you feel that your really appreciated as a customer.
Orders were made using a cell phone & it wasn't long before piping hot food started to be served at our table along with green tea & Chinese beer for me. Every was well prepared & tasted great. It had been quite a few years since we'd enjoyed Dim Sum & we were not disappointed. Everything was fresh & hot & delicious & we'll certainly be back in the future.
Take out food was over one hour late from time app told me to show up. The food itself? Sesame beef was awful. Not crunchy & the beef was very questionable. Cantonese chow mein was so-so. Big chunks, but not very fresh. The pork dumplings were okay. Extremely over-priced & the wait made it a complete negative experience. Avoid!!
