dim sum(40) chinese(24) dishes(15) fresh(13) busy(12) chicken(12) family(11) fried(11) parking(10) group(10) tasty(9) quick(9)Customer service was atrocious we never even got our waters until specifically asking for it, when it came time to paying I got screamed at because I tipped the waiter $8 instead of the minimum percentage amount on the terminal. The waiter was an elderly gentleman with a moustache & spoke broken English he had not served us once during the time we were there & proved to try to lecture me after already paying & even threatened to call the police saying but who bring you all the plates. He proceeded to try to record me, none of the other staff tried to help or came to assess & see the situation. Overall very very disappointing will never be coming back.
Long waits on weekends & holidays. A little pricy compared to other dim sum places. Convenient location & lots of tables.
I've visited this restaurant several times for breakfast & dim sum, but today was my first time trying it for supper with my son. The menu was different, & it wasn't through the phone app-instead, it was a large, physical book. I asked for help because there were a few dishes I was interested in, but the staff member in the dining area explained the options in a rushed, unclear way.
When I tried to process what I wanted to order, he immediately told me to order quickly & was rude about it, giving me no chance to think. The attitude was completely unnecessary.
We left & went to another place in the same mall, where the service was excellent-so different from what we experienced here. I won't be returning to this restaurant again.
The food was delicious service was very accommodating & courteous helped pack up leftovers when we finished eating.
This is a great place for Dim Sum. Food is fresh & comes out quickly. Very tasty!
Although the food itself was decent & the portions were reasonable for the price, the service was extremely disappointing. In a restaurant, service matters just as much as the food, & unfortunately this was some of the worst service I've experienced at a Chinese restaurant.
We had to repeatedly ask for basic things throughout the meal. We weren't given utensils or water without asking, & our water was never refilled. When we requested hot sauce, we were told it would be brought shortly, but after waiting about 10 minutes, we had to ask two more times before receiving it.
The staff were not particularly welcoming, & none of the employees smiled or appeared interested in providing good service. Items brought to the table, including water & a fresh pot of tea (which we also had to request), were placed down abruptly, almost as if we were inconveniencing them.
When the bill came, we left a 14% tip. The service did not warrant more, but we still wanted to leave something. The waiter, whose only interaction with our table had been bringing water, proceeded to count the cash in front of us & acted as though there was money missing. I had to tell him twice that the amount was correct & complete.
One final observation: we were the only non-White & non-Asian customers in the restaurant, & we did not see staff count the money at any other table. I can't say whether that was related, but it certainly left an uncomfortable impression.
The food was enjoyable, but the service & overall experience were poor enough that we will not be returning.
This restaurant proves that Google reviews should not always be blindly followed. We visited for Dim Sum on the advice of friends & family, & it is well worth the 20 km drive to the West Island. This is further away than Chinatown, but has plenty of parking available.
The food is amazing & made to order, unlike the pre-prepared dishes found at traditional dim sum places. Due to long lineups on Sundays, I suggest arriving within 45 minutes of opening. If you miss that window, arrive 60 minutes later, once the first wave of diners has finished.
?Do not expect top-notch service; the staff is extremely busy.
The pic shows the line up outside, but there are about another 50 people waiting inside the restaurant.
Do NOT order on a Saturday. Ordered at 5:15 for delivery . No where does it say it's door dash or a 3rd party delivery
Now there are bad storms & flooding tonight but I get a follow your order email & find out it's not the resto delivering but doordash. He ends up taking 2+ hours to get to the resto because of other deliveries & the weather but then messages me when he gets there to say the resto told him it would be another 40 minutes...that would be 3 hours from when we ordered! I made him give the resto the phone because they weren't answering when I called directly & all of a sudden, when I threatened to cancel they could do it in 10 min. That still 2.5+ hours since order. I get the delivery being impacted by the storm but the resto is not. That's just bad planning & management. In the end. My order ended up being cancelled by someone, probably doordash who didn't want to wait & I don't blame him cause it was a difficult night for deliveries, but the resto has no excuse. If you're slammed, don't open your online deliveries!
Very nice chinese restaurant with dishes from multiple provinces. Seen a lots of weterns people enjoyinh their meal there, pretty rare for a Chinese restaurant to achieve that (about half of customers are westerns people). Meals come in large portion, didnt really expect that much amount at the price they give
