THEYRE LYING. It only looks good in pics, but the flavour was lacking salt, spice, texture & taste. It was quite sour because of the tomatoes & the eggs kind of that had farm smell. Overall it has a very sour/bitter taste. Please skip that dish, not sure about the other dishes though.
Great Mediterranean breakfast. We had the Shakshuka & the Sabich. The Humus was great & the juice are freshly squeezed. there is an indoor & outdoor space & it's great for sunny days
Service très sympa !
On a pris plusieurs choses pour le midi la shakshuka est vraiment bonne & les pancakes un délice !!
Very underwhelming experience. I love the coffee at Pigeon Café on De Maisonneuve, so I came here for brunch.
I ordered an Americano but was served filter coffee with grounds floating in the mug. It was messy, with drips all around the outside like it hadn't been wiped. My partner's mug was cracked along the side.
Our order was taken by one person & brought by another, who spilled coffee on the table, no one came to clean it, & we weren't even offered napkins.
I ordered the classic Shakshuka, which came with a hair in it. They brought another one, but it tasted off & I'm not convinced it was a fresh plate.
Staff were refilling coffee at other tables, but I never got the cream I had requested twice for the refill of my second coffee.
My partner still left a good tip despite everything.
When she mentioned thr hair to the staff, the apology felt more like a brush-off than genuine concern. They clearly saw I didn't eat the meal.
Poor service, disappointing food. There are definitely better places to spend your money.
The food was delicious & service was good. I had the merguez shakshuka at the recommendation of the server & it was fantastic, just spicy enough, the pine nuts & pomegranate were fresh & had a nice crunch, the tahini was very flavorful, the egg yolks were moderately runny which is perfect for shakshuka, & the stewed tomatoes were fresh & bright tasting. Overall the ingredients were very good quality & preparation was very good. 8/10 I also had an Americano, which was decent, about 7/10, although it had a slight burnt taste. Contra other reviews, service was very good for my Monday lunch. A hostess noticed me with 10 seconds, walked over, & seated me. She seemed busy, so after I put my menu down to show I was ready, I made eye contact with the bartender/barista & he jumped in to take my food & drink order. Every server was friendly & helpful. The food was just the right portion & the price was what I expect for the very central & busy location & chic, vibey interior. I am a pretty tough reviewer, but I think this place deserves a solid 4.1, 4.2.
I had Alexia as my server & she was nothing but the best, attentive to our every need. The food was spectacular best shakshuka in montreal!
Not bad. Down to go back. Had a cappuccino & the shakshuka. Cappuccino came in at a 6/10. Shakshuka wasn't bad but felt like it was missing some zing. My yolks were overdone as well so I was bummed about that. Service ok. Ambiance cute. Down to go back & try other things.
I wasn't impressed. The main branch on Monkland is much better. I ordered the shakshuka with halloumi, I was disappointed to find only one small piece of halloumi in it.
Hip brunch spot. Friendly staff but slow service. Shakshuka was extremely watery & not very tasty.
I really liked the food here, the Shakshuka Halloumi was amazing, the lobster Benedict was fantastic, Salmon poached eggs was delicious. Service was good & the interior of the restaurant was good. They played a lot of Frank Ocean, which is dope because I love me some Frank Ocean. Photo of the Shakshuka Halloumi.
We had a great Sunday brunch at 10 AM. Super loved the ambience plus the slow Sunday feels. The servers were friendly & polite. The food is amazing! I especially loved their'The Pigeon Special,' I wish I can have it three times a week! It was well seasoned & the mustard sauce blends all the meats together. Definitely recommend 15/10! Where we thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich, the shakshuka was another story. Don't get me wrong, it's also good. I just wished they put one or two more eggs. The tomatoes were ripe & perfectly seasoned. The mocha coffee was 5/5 good! Will order it again. The matcha latte, although refreshing, was a bit too milky for my taste. The ambience is just perfect for a get together over good food & drinks. :):):)
Excellent food! Had the Shakshuka with beef & matcha latte. Very pleased.
Amazing service, super cosy atmosphere & exciting dishes 🔥 I love this place, perfect for a brunch especially with the terrasse in the summer. The shakshuka is outstanding, but my personal favorite menu item is the salmon tower (bagels with cream cheese, salmon & lots of toppings) Love their lattes & ice coffee. Always a good time! Go enjoy "the worst coffee in the world" as it says on the window 😂 You won't be mad for the false advertising!
Shakshuka & french toast casserole, that's it. Amazing, & will go back for those & others! Great food with good portion, great service, cute decor, loved everything.
I love breakfasts here! Their shakshuka & Meditaranian Toasts are delish, & the staff is kind, efficient & attentive!
Went here for brunch! Lindsey was the one taking care of us at the bar. She was very kind & helpful with the menu! I definitely recommend their shakshuka!
I went in to check this place out because of the funny sign "World's Worst Coffee". The food & coffee were great, especially the Shakshuka I had. The atmosphere is kind of quirky-corporate. The baristas are cute. Shoutout to Lindsey, good vibes.
