Tried this restaurant on a Sunday & it was pretty busy. The service was good, but our waiter didn't have a full understanding of the menu, especially when it came to vegan options.
We ordered the fattoush salad, the vegan version of the avocado toast, a smoked meat sandwich, fingerling potatoes on the side, & two freshly pressed orange & grapefruit drinks. The drinks were refreshing & the food was good. The fattoush was tasty, but not as good as the ones you'd get in an Arabic restaurant.
The place looks nice almost like a jungle inside. I would go back.

the atmosphere is super nice at pigeon, i loved all the greenery & lights & the whole vibe was just great.
the richard lewis sandwich is so stacked with so much meat, it is totally a carnivores dream ! some bits of meat were a bit chewier & tough to bite off, so it was kind of hard & messy to eat, but it was yummy! the cheese melted on top also had really nice flavour too, that was super good. i really liked the challah bread, which was soft & toasted & made a bit soggy but the copious amounts of mustard. the mustard was a good balance to all the meat, & i liked how it wasn't too strong or sharp or pungent.
The atmosphere & décor were nice, & the staff were friendly. However, the food was average. The steak sandwich was salty, & the Mediterranean chicken bowl didn't seem very fresh.
We are a family of 4 visiting the city. We had here dinner & the food was amazing, atmosphere was gorgeous - the decor, the music & the dinnerware ! Great yummy dishes - we had the shakahuka - wow! So well made & is served with Challah bread. We also had the Steak sandwich, Mediterranean chicken & my family enjoyed it very much. The best dish was the Hummus & pita bread. They didn't stop eating. Prices are super reasonable. Will definitely come back when in the city & highly recommend for families & also for date nights.
I had higher hopes for pigeon - food & coffee are good but the service was really not at all at the standard i expected. One of the sandwiches ordered arrived wrong & we sent it back, it took another 15 minutes to get it. My father was getting agitated (it was his order) as he needed to take his medicine. Even though I know things happen & it's ok to take time, NONE of our original waiters came to check on us. Yacoub came to take our order & afterwards didn't come back to check on us, never apologized for the order going in wrong, & would ignore us when we asked for an update. There was one woman, I didn't get her name, who checked in & apologized & was appreciative for our patience. So thanks to her, but I don't think we'll be back.
I truly, honestly & extremely angry about the service they provided. I just had a 19CAD sandwich, I don't know where does the attitude come from? Like did I do anything that extremely wrong & unacceptable if I came to this restaurant? That was the first time ever I gave no tips for a service. If you know yourself have provided a bad service, how could you have the confidence to ask for the tips? The unprofessional service really left me a strong impression of this eating place.

Stopped by for a quick brunch before heading back to uni, & I was pleasantly surprised by the food. My friend & I shared the croissant sandwich & the eggs Benedict. The croissant was phenomenal-crispy, buttery, & filled with perfectly balanced ingredients. Special mention to the salami, which was incredibly flavorful. The eggs Benedict were spot-on, cooked to perfection, though I found it a bit disappointing that they were served on such a large plate without a side (a small salad would have made the presentation feel less empty).
The iced lattes also hit the spot-I'm a big fan of their maple latte & usually grab one to go. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this café if you're near McGill & looking for a quick, satisfying bite!
As a picker eater, I would definitely recommend this spot. The server who served me last time, she was so sweet & helped me to choose a meal from the menu. I was satisfied with the choice (Sandwich déjeuner croissant) 10/10.
Always loved pigeon coffee but now that I've tried their food I can say I love everything about pigeon. The halloumi cheese shakshouka is very good very filling, & so is their tomato soup. It's not pictured but I also recommend their steak sandwich (cooked rare is just perfect !) for a light lunch.

There was a delay in the kitchen today so we had to wait 20-30 minutes after ordering (i didn't mind), the server was nice & efficient when we had to order, what i did notice was that the food was not hot, it was almost a bit cold. my friends ordered the chicken sandwich & the chicken was kinda cold sadly. i ordered breakfast sandwich & it was mostly just avocado & spicy mayo, almost no egg so i wished they would've put more eggs. Coffee was ok. best part of the restaurant is the decoration.
I had the pigeon sandwich & it was fantastic. The salad was really nice, & the dressing was perfect. The sandwich was a little greasy on the bottom, but the meat was absolutely devastatingly delicious. The thing about this place is that they have European timing. You're going to have to wait to be greeted, & seated, & have them take your order, & to get the bill. All good.
The restaurant offers both indoor & outdoor seating options, but the music could be improved to create a better dining atmosphere. The sandwich was quite basic & overloaded with meat, while the potato salad was disappointing. On the positive side, they do make a good lemonade, & the staff is friendly. However, the tables are unstable, which can be a bit uncomfortable.
We had a great Sunday brunch at 10 AM. Super loved the ambience plus the slow Sunday feels. The servers were friendly & polite. The food is amazing! I especially loved their'The Pigeon Special,' I wish I can have it three times a week! It was well seasoned & the mustard sauce blends all the meats together. Definitely recommend 15/10! Where we thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich, the shakshuka was another story. Don't get me wrong, it's also good. I just wished they put one or two more eggs. The tomatoes were ripe & perfectly seasoned. The mocha coffee was 5/5 good! Will order it again. The matcha latte, although refreshing, was a bit too milky for my taste. The ambience is just perfect for a get together over good food & drinks. :):):)
I really wanted to like it.. I could have lived with the lengthly time to get serviced & mediocre drinks (we had sangria & aperol spritz) & the super loud music. But not the gross hair in my food & no apology. I ordered a grilled veggie sandwich chicken took a while to bring out & I thought they forgot about it. It finally arrived & the sandwich was split in half. The first half was tasty but once I picked up the second half & saw a very long black hair, (I'm blond & my friend has very short hair) I set it aside & tried hard not to gag. The server eventually took it back to the kitchen only to return with a bill & no apology. They deducted half of the cost of the sandwich:/ Sure, I ate half of it but they could have been a little apologetic about the nasty surprise. Nope. Hardly an acknowledgment.
