A classic for Pho. Strongly recommend. Quick service so even if there is lineup, it goes quick.
It gets really busy.
This place is disgusting. Im not just talking about the food. When leaving i was disappointed so i didnt leave tip. THE WORKER HARASSED US for tips. Your food is disgusting & so is your worker.
I had a very bad experience here. The service is terrible, well I should say the Boss is terrible. I have had already dinner actually, but we love the Pho, so my son & me went to order one extra large pho for share. After the Pho come on table, I request another bowl so that we can share. Then the waiter (we know at last he is the boss) said that he did not like we share one bowl of Pho. He rejected to bring us another bowl. & furtherly, the restaurant doesn't accept the bank card, they accept only cash. The boss is susceptible to not pay the tax to government that we have paied. maybe I should report this .
1. Pho with bleach like smell.
2. When we ask waiter for some bowls for the kids, he rolled his eyes & said'3 bowls ? we don't have that many'. Attitude are rude & unhelpful. Gave us a very bad impression at the first meal upon arrival in Montreal.
staff chased us out the door yelling & demanding for tips. we had already tipped a good amount but they kept insisting on more. they told us that not everyone tips but here yes, & we replied with'tipping isnt obligated, just a standard'. staff got angry & started spewing some BS about chinese people & said'what customers dont tip has to come out of our own pockets!'. what does that even mean??
the customers sitting at the table right next to us also got berated for not leaving a big enough tip.
seriously, pay your waiters & do better. not s good atmosphere to be in.
Cela fait presque 20 ans que je vais manger la bas & c'est toujours aussi bon!!! 🍲🍲🍲
1. Force you to tip 150% of your meal - doesn't make sense but somehow they literally took our money & wouldn't give it back. It's exactly as written.
2. Verbally humiliates you in front the whole restaurant
3. Threatens your safety by literally following you inside the restaurant? Also seems unbelievable but believe it or not somehow that happened.
4. Subpar food
DO NOT VISIT. Theft in daylight. This restaurant has no respect for customers, & reflects appallingly upon the service industry in Montreal. Please do not visit & support a business that actively steals from & humiliates customers.
Food was $14, gave $50 bill & $4 coins, cashier returns $20 dollar bill without a word, before we can even tip. We understand tipping, but that is up to the customer, to take a customers money without a word is theft. Let alone - service was abysmal. Even then we are happy to tip & understand the importance to tip. BUT a $20 unspoken tip done by the cashier & NOT the customer is UNACCEPTABLE.
When we expressed confusion respectfully, we were berated publicly. Afterwards, the cashier gave us back $15 dollars, which was also a choice up to them. Basically, they gave themselves a $5, a 35% tip after treating us aggressively & humiliating us.
I had an outstanding meal at this pho restaurant! The broth was unbelievably rich & flavorful-comforting, aromatic, & clearly made with care. The noodles were perfectly cooked, & the portions of meat were generous & tender. Every bite tasted fresh & authentic.
It was my first time visiting this restaurant, & also my first time trying this kind of soup. The shrimp & vegetable soup was something new for me, & I really enjoyed the taste, it was interesting & delicious in a different way. I had a great experience overall.
Coming from Toronto I was searching for a good pho shop on a cold day. But ordering their pho dac biet had no flavour at all. Lack seasoning for sure. I had high hopes from the reviews. Also note it is CASH ONLY
Pho (grilled chicken & veggies) was really great & waiting time almost none. Next time i'll go for a X-Large for sure !
