Review Summary

Petit Poisson Dumpling is widely celebrated for serving some of the best handmade, authentic dumplings and xiao long bao in Montreal, often highlighting the freshness and high-quality ingredients used in every bite. The restaurant is frequently described as a cozy, aesthetically pleasing space where patrons enjoy watching the staff prepare fresh dishes in an open kitchen, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. While the popularity of the spot often leads to queues, the consensus is that the flavorful food, including standout options like fried dumplings, soup dumplings, and various side dishes, makes the wait worthwhile. Although there are occasional mentions of crowded conditions, potential language barriers with staff, or limited table availability, the overall experience is consistently praised as delicious, comforting, and an essential destination for those seeking a high-quality, soulful meal in the city.

Yum yum! Small place (let's call it cozy) but well worth the wait. Sometimes shared tables- make a friend! Food was super good. Being Chinese, we have high standards. This fit into the good category. I would return for comfort food in Montréal again.

Family's new favorite dumpling restaurant. Delicious cucumber salad! Homemade sauces, lamb & coriander fillings, a few gluten free options.
