Even from Chinese standards, I will say the taste is pretty authentic & definitely high quality. You can taste the freshness since all dumplings are made freshly on the site. We especially like their lamb dumplings & cold dishes. The staff are also very friendly!
On a recent trip to Montréal, I had the pleasure of discovering this dumpling restaurant, & I will certainly be returning on my next visit.
The soup dumplings were among the best I have ever had-perhaps even the best. The wonton noodle soup was also top-notch: rich & flavourful without being overly salty. The dumplings were clearly made fresh, & everything we ordered was excellent.
Fun ambience.
I highly recommend this place. I suspect it can become quite busy during peak periods, but I arrived shortly after opening & the food was already outstanding. There was none of that sense that a kitchen was still finding its rhythm at the start of service; everything felt polished & consistent from the moment the doors opened.
A memorable meal & one that I look forward to repeating. I will definitely be back.
Happened to stumble in here kind of by accident & I'm so glad I did because this was my best meal in mtl! The pork + chive xiao long bao were the best i've ever had. So flavourful & fresh! You see them being made in the front so you know it's gonna be good! also loved the peanut noodles! Would also want to try the peanut butter dumplings for sure! 10/10 no notes!
The xiao long bao & fried dumplings here are simply out of this world! You can really taste the handcrafted excellence in every single bite-the textures are perfect, & the seasonings are spot on. It's clear that the kitchen takes great pride in their work & uses high-quality ingredients. The restaurant itself is a masterclass in interior design, with every corner packed with thoughtful details that show just how much heart went into creating this space. It feels sophisticated yet approachable, like eating in a high-end boutique. We visited during the weekend peak hours & had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but let me tell you, it was worth every single second. The staff managed the crowd efficiently, & once we were seated, the food arrived hot & fresh. If you're planning a weekend visit, I'd suggest coming a bit early to beat the rush, but even if there's a queue, hold your spot-you won't regret it! This is easily some of the best Chinese comfort food I've had in a long time.
The food is delicious & very clean. The soup dumplings are especially good, with lots of flavorful broth inside. I highly recommend the pork & seafood buns-the shrimp inside is big & fresh, & the taste is amazing. Overall, a great dining experience & I will definitely come back again!
I visited this Chinese restaurant & ordered the combo of fried dumplings with pork, shrimp, & scallops! It turned out to be really good! The flavors were rich & everything tasted freshly made. I finished the whole plate without hesitation !
The coziest, freshest dumplings you will ever meet. We shared the peanut sauce wontons, the chicken mushroom fried dumplings, & the pork chive soup dumplings. Everything was umami-ly delicious & the portions were generous!
I was craving dumplings & it was not bad at all. They make fresh dumplings on right side as soon you walk in which is pretty cool. Beef Xiao dumplings highly recommend for sure.
Also one thing that caught me off the guard was the green tea... just a tea bag was kinda slap in the face. I thought I was going to try a real tea from their culture...
I came specifically to try the xiao long bao & ordered pork with cabbage & shrimp. The pork & cabbage was classic, with a slightly sweet broth that wasn't greasy. The shrimp version had whole pieces of shrimp, fresh & tender. Overall, the meal was easy to enjoy without feeling heavy.
I ordered chicken with mushroom xiao long bao & vegetarian three fresh pan-fried dumplings. The chicken filling was tender, paired with a subtle umami from the mushrooms. The vegetarian dumplings had a golden, crispy bottom, & the vegetable filling was light & refreshing-great for a lighter meal.
