Petit Poisson Dumpling is praised for fresh, handmade dumplings cooked to order in an open kitchen, and for a cozy, intimate setting that draws crowds despite the small space. Diners note a wide variety of dumplings including steamed, fried, and soup dumplings such as xiao long bao, with popular fillings like pork and coriander, beef, shrimp, and vegetarian options, all made fresh before the eyes and often smelling delicious in the air. The experience is often described as quick and friendly service when not overwhelmed, though the place can get busy and seating limited, leading to lines and occasional delays during peak hours. Reviews highlight the aroma, the comforting and authentic flavors, and the overall value, with many calling the dumplings the best in Montreal, and the place a great spot for casual meals, dates, or sharing with friends. Side dishes like kimchi are praised, while cucumber salad and certain salads receive mixed feedback, and some guests wish for easier access to spices such as chili oil. Overall, this is a beloved dumpling destination that delivers consistently tasty dumplings and a warm, welcoming vibe, best experienced by arriving early or being prepared to queue.

Cozy restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The fried beef & onion dumplings were really tasty, crispy on the outside & juicy inside. Portions were decent & nicely presented. Service was friendly & efficient. I'd definitely come back for the dumplings !
just a regular dumpling place. no chilli or chilli oil for dumpling...if you want pay extra 😂 too crowded & a small place. so expect to wait in the queue & probably you get seated in the kitchen prep area during waiting. veg dumpling was super average. Agneau was okay. Desserts no comments. go eat dumpling if hungry & if your hunger cant wait.
Pork + Lamb soup dumplings were tasty (albeit small). I just found the cucumber salad to be pretty disappointing for 9$. Served with thick (& not particularly crunchy) english cucumbers & the sauce isn't even mixed or combined into the salad. Just poured on top. Kinda bland.

Only had a hot n sour soup, pretty sure it's vegetarian (no meat) it was ok. There is a menu image from 2 years ago that shows a lunch special, that is out of date & is no longer on the menu.
Pour moi une des meilleures adresses de dumplings sur Montréal ! Je trouve le rapport qualité/prix excellent ! Le lieu est prisé alors privilégiez votre visite en dehors des heures de pointe !
Delicious dumplings! They make them in front of you. The restaurant is filled with their yummy dumplings smell. The service is very fast & the menu is easy to choose from. Even though the place is a bit small, it's very comfortable. I recommend trying this place!
Stumbled upon this dumpling place by chance & wow - so good. Friendly service & the food was a solid 10/10. Tried the soup dumplings & the fried ones, & both were amazing. Highly recommend!
Had a pleasant meal at this Chinese restaurant. The food was tasty & served hot, with good portion sizes. The place was clean & the service was friendly !
This place gets BUSY. It's super small for the crowd it attracts, but I guess there isn't much they could do unless they move to a bigger place. Service is good & efficient to get the line moving, too. Food is delicious.
