Pâtisserie Zébulon is a 100% vegan bakery offering delightful desserts and high-quality coffee. We sell cakes in individual portions or birthday sizes, as well as various sweet treats such as fruit jellies and fabulous chocolate & sea salt cookies.
Pâtisserie Zébulon is widely praised as a standout vegan patisserie in Montreal, with a bright, spacious setting, an open kitchen, and a pastry lineup that many describe as beautiful, inventive and delicious. The all-vegan and frequently gluten-free options are a recurring theme, and the quality, variety and presentation are often cited as reasons to return, including for special occasions like weddings and parties. The new larger Saint-Denis location is noted for more seating, a relaxed vibe, and additional offerings such as bread and lunch items, while reviews also highlight friendly, attentive staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Some critiques mention high prices and occasional inconsistencies in flavor balance or texture, and a few reflect concerns about labeling of ingredients or variability in service. Overall, the consensus is that Zébulon delivers impressive vegan pastries and desserts, with standout cookies, tiramisu, yuzu tart, croissants and other treats, and remains a must-visit for dessert lovers in Montreal despite the pricing and occasional snags.
Excellent taste, presentation & clearly a lot of hard work goes into these masterpieces that I refuse to believe are vegan. I'm not sure how others expect these to be less than 10$ & find me a bakery that warms up croissants for you tp THAT guy... MERCI trop bon we'll be back for special events & dinners when we want to impress our guests :)

Style over substance. Overpriced & just okay tasting. We almost got carpal tunnel just to scoop through the dry hard crust on our 10$+ tax small pastry. Looking at the scratches on the plate, this is a common experience. Also asked to heat up a croissant & they said they couldn't... Canadian Tire has good oven toasters for less than the price of 4 of your pastries. Would not recommend. They are next door to La Beignerie who has tasty big vegan donuts for 4.50$ & Frenco Vrac that has fresh vegan pastries all day & some of the best coffees too all for less than this place. Always happy to see more vegan businesses but the math is not mathing. Quantity, quality or service wise.
This place has the best vegan pastries I have ever tried. Not o lot is the place spacious, clean the customer service is attentive. The quality of each product exceeds the value, you leave thinking wow I just had the best pastry of my life. But above all the attention they give to their clients is warm & generous. I highly recommend their cookies & cakes, their drinks are delicious too! If you have a chance to visit don't miss it.
Vegan bakery that moved to another larger luminous location on Saint-Denis street. I have to say I am surprised with some of the reviews regarding customer service. I never did an online order, but whenever I went staff & owner was nice. The new location is much bigger, & nice. I think there could be more tables, although it is never full when I go. Food-wise, the patries are beautiful looking, but in my opinion they look better than they taste. I am gluten-free, so I cannot judge all pastries, but I am not a fan of the cheezecake, I find it tasteless & i don't like the texture. The only good part is the crunchy layer at the bottom, I could eat just that! The chocolate tonka entremet is good, probably one of the best ones. The tiramisu is not for me. Lacks flavor. My boyfriend tried the tarts & said the yuzu tart was meh as the icing on top was tasteless, but the tart shell & yuzu part was good. He loved the strawberry tart & raved about the tart shell. The wownie (brownie) was just ok according to my boyfriend. The financier are good. The cookies look delish, but I couldn't say if they taste good as none of them are gluten-free. My last note is that it is very expensive. The refrigerated pastries are 10$ each, that's a lot. I get it, ingredients are expensive, rent, & so on, but it's hard to justify for the common person. I am all about supporting vegan businesses, & I wish them the best. For me though, I don't think I would go unless the menu changes & flavors are improved. I would say it is worth trying it for yourself.

Superb dairy free pastry place! Was thrilled that their chef used his talent to also offer wonderfully-executed gluten free choices, for those of us that have to avoid both diary & gluten. When we went, the gluten free items included two different types of tiramisu (pistachio & sesame), chocolate mousse pecan cake, olive oil cake, & a passion fruit coconut cheesecake. The customer service was great. We ended up getting the pistachio tiramisu & chocolate mousse pecan cake, plus try the olive oil cake. All three were ace. I especially loved the mousse components that were less sweet (& you could taste the nutty & chocolate flavours) & the olive cake that was not overly sweet. We will be back often!
Service sympathique.
I needed gluten-free, lactose-free pastries. I paid $125 for 10. I wouldn't say they tasted good either. In my opinion overpriced & not worth it. Later I learnt about other bakeries that also offer this type of product but charge about $7/item with such specifics. Won't be going back

The staff was super polite & respectful, they explained to me one & each flavor every time I went. The cookies were okey, I was expecting more flavor in the chocolate, but I got more sugary taste. The mini cakes were excelente. Hope to get back some day🤗❤? Thank u for going vegan!!!!
Beautiful presentation (& all vegan!) & luckily for my dad bod the tongue wasn't feeling it like the eye. Everything was decent but not irresistible: I took a few bites & shared the rest without wolfing anything down. Not bad, but nothing worth the fat & suga
