Review Summary

Overall, reviews describe Zébulon as a standout all vegan patisserie with a wide, inventive range of desserts that many find delicious and beautifully presented, with frequent praise for cookies, croissants, tiramisu, and other treats, as well as strong gluten free options and a focus on quality ingredients. Many diners applaud the bright, spacious space, the open kitchen, and friendly staff, and note that the new larger location on Saint Denis offers more seating and a welcoming atmosphere. However, some reviews mention high prices and variability in service, occasional mislabeling or confusion about flavors, and a few critiques about pacing or heat when visits are near closing. Overall, Zébulon is seen as a highly regarded vegan bakery destination with creative offerings and a pleasant ambiance, but potential visitors should expect premium pricing and possible fluctuations in experience.

Needs more gluten free options. But the ones that are there are to die for!!

This place is gluten free heaven!!! All you have to do is ask for what they have fresh for the day! Their staff is awesome & kind! They also have coffee so no excuses for not swinging by & trying out things here.
Highly recommend their sweets & they have huge space!

Incredible new bakery with lovely service. I had been coming here for months & I am always surprised at the new desserts they have. They serve vegan & some gluten free but you wouldn't even know unless you ask!

It is a good experience not a crowded place to be
Everything is vegan so good for anyone to explore... but do ask them about gluten free options... I didn't.. but I think they should be carrying some.

Regarding the taste:
As you will be able to see in the picture that I ordered 2 items:
Chocolate:
It was good (7/10), it has a nice balance of sweetness & chocolate.. but I was not able to get any lunch from the walnut filling..
It melts in mount & give a god after taste of dark chocolate.

Lime: it was not the best they got..
I will not recommend it a the lime flavour at the top center overpowered the remaining experience.. you will taste a strong lime hit...

So overall..
Nice Ambiance ( 7/10)
Customer service (9/10)
Price: adequate.. as per the location & operation
Food experience: (6/10)

Will I go again?
Yes, as I want to try their croissant & other items...

Should be in your spot if you are exploring food in Montréal.

Vegan bakery that moved to another larger luminous location on Saint-Denis street. I have to say I am surprised with some of the reviews regarding customer service. I never did an online order, but whenever I went staff & owner was nice. The new location is much bigger, & nice. I think there could be more tables, although it is never full when I go. Food-wise, the patries are beautiful looking, but in my opinion they look better than they taste. I am gluten-free, so I cannot judge all pastries, but I am not a fan of the cheezecake, I find it tasteless & i don't like the texture. The only good part is the crunchy layer at the bottom, I could eat just that! The chocolate tonka entremet is good, probably one of the best ones. The tiramisu is not for me. Lacks flavor. My boyfriend tried the tarts & said the yuzu tart was meh as the icing on top was tasteless, but the tart shell & yuzu part was good. He loved the strawberry tart & raved about the tart shell. The wownie (brownie) was just ok according to my boyfriend. The financier are good. The cookies look delish, but I couldn't say if they taste good as none of them are gluten-free. My last note is that it is very expensive. The refrigerated pastries are 10$ each, that's a lot. I get it, ingredients are expensive, rent, & so on, but it's hard to justify for the common person. I am all about supporting vegan businesses, & I wish them the best. For me though, I don't think I would go unless the menu changes & flavors are improved. I would say it is worth trying it for yourself.

Superb dairy free pastry place! Was thrilled that their chef used his talent to also offer wonderfully-executed gluten free choices, for those of us that have to avoid both diary & gluten. When we went, the gluten free items included two different types of tiramisu (pistachio & sesame), chocolate mousse pecan cake, olive oil cake, & a passion fruit coconut cheesecake. The customer service was great. We ended up getting the pistachio tiramisu & chocolate mousse pecan cake, plus try the olive oil cake. All three were ace. I especially loved the mousse components that were less sweet (& you could taste the nutty & chocolate flavours) & the olive cake that was not overly sweet. We will be back often!

I needed gluten-free, lactose-free pastries. I paid $125 for 10. I wouldn't say they tasted good either. In my opinion overpriced & not worth it. Later I learnt about other bakeries that also offer this type of product but charge about $7/item with such specifics. Won't be going back

Terrasse.
