Omnivore presents a vibrant culinary journey centered on authentic Lebanese flavors, expertly prepared with a focus on charcoal-grilled specialties and fresh, satisfying sandwiches. Diners can anticipate a menu rich in traditional mezze, succulent kebabs, and flavorful shawarma, all crafted using high-quality ingredients and time-honored recipes. The grill is the heart of the kitchen, turning out perfectly charred meats and vegetables that showcase the essence of Lebanese barbecue. Complemented by a selection of inventive sandwiches, Omnivore offers a diverse yet cohesive dining experience. This establishment delivers a genuine taste of Lebanon, making it a go-to destination for those seeking bold, distinctive tastes.
Omnivore is widely celebrated as a hidden gem in the West Island, offering authentic, high-quality Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine that stands out for its freshness and flavorful spices. Guests frequently highlight the delicious chicken, generous mezza plates, and healthy vegetarian options, often describing the experience as superior to other quick-service chains. The atmosphere is consistently described as cozy and welcoming, enhanced by thoughtful service and, on occasion, entertaining live comedy or music performances. While the vast majority of patrons praise the friendly staff and the attentive management, a few have noted inconsistencies in service quality or portion sizes. Overall, the restaurant remains a top destination for those seeking a comforting, high-quality dining experience with a personal touch.
Have previously lunched at the St-Denis Omnivore & dined at Omnivore on St-Laurent boulevard. Both were great! But I would advise against going to Omnivore West Island. The service is subpar. How? Well the notion of courses is foreign to this establishment: soup is served WITH the main course, so by the time one gets to the main course, the food is cold. Also, if you order a shish taouk brochette, expect unmarinated, ordinary chicken, not that tender shish taouk taste. Furthermore, staff cleared table before this patron had finished his meal, the implied message being'this is a fast food restaurant'. But this client was under the impression that Omnivore is NOT a fast food place… Food wise, the fatoush salad was soggy & disappointing, & the kibbes were partially burnt. The chicken was very ordinary, far from the delightful Lebanese/Levantine way of preparing chicken. On the plus side, the lentil soup was quite tasty. To put as positive a spin as possible: yes to Omnivore, but no to the West Island Omnivore.
The staff was incredibly kind, patient, & informative while helping me place my order. Everything looked so good that choosing just one thing was nearly impossible. I've tried Omnivore in downtown Montreal before, & once again, it did not disappoint.
My wait time was under 10 minutes, & the food was absolutely to die for. The chicken was so juicy & flavourful-honestly, any description wouldn't do it justice. You just have to try it yourself. I didn't even get a chance to take a picture because I was too busy enjoying every bite.
They also had a promo that day & offered a free dessert, which was truly the icing on the cake. I'll definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu!
A really cozy restaurant with gorgeous walls in DDO ❤?❤? We made reservations & started with Moussaka as the appetizers. For the main dishes we had the Omnivore with chicken, Carnivore along with Piri & it was so delicious ❤?❤? We particularly loved the garlic sauce & the basmati rice & lentil rice 😇😇 The chicken & beef were so well-made & had moisture & each bite was a gourmet's delight ❤?❤? Cannot wait to come back to this 10/10 restaurant & try other items on the menu as it is the perfect venue to bring family & friends

My family & I had a great meal in the restaurant. We ordered the omnivore (chicken & brochette) & a chicken pita. The food was very fresh & flavorful. The service was also excellent - friendly, fast, & efficient. Will visit again.
Cozy restaurant & quality food! The staff is super friendly! Their chicken sandwich, spicy potatoes & garlic are a must! We went on a Saturday for a friend's bday & they had live music! The ambiance is so lively & friendly!! Strongly recommend it!!
Recommended by a friend, we tried out the food recently & loved it. We had the chicken DJAJ pita roll & it was moist & tasty. We ordered a combo (which included amazing cold lemonade, great garlicky potatoes (batatas) &/or fresh Fatouche green salad). Dining room is spacious & there's even a terrace in warmer weathe
Ordered a beef sandwich & a shish taouk plate. The beef was very good while the chicken plate, not so much. It was dry, tough & under seasoned. Too bad, the beef tasted just like the one you get in the Plateau so I was expecting the same for the chicken..but for some reason, they didn't season it very well.

Always a warm welcome & smiles from all staff; servers, cooks & kitchen staff. Joyful & pleasant decor, lots of REAL plants...tastefully decorated during holidays, but not overly so. Don't feel rushed to leave whenever is over, ok to linger, whether alone or in a group (had a small group gathering of ladies in our 50s in the winter & we appreciated being able to actually hear one another speaking unlike many other restaurants where to noise level, music or acoustics of location make it difficult to have conversations). Some of us are of mixed Lebanese origins so we really appreciated the homemade Lebanese & fusion dishes. My personal favorites are the samac (fish) sandwich & the Thai fusion (chicken instead of beef) sandwichwith peanut sauce. Love the homemade lemonade with hint of mint.
