I am too lazy to list everything that we ate, but we liked this Lebanese restaurant in Montreal so much, that we went more than once! My favorite was the'Battata'. It is roasted or fried potatoes with a garlic sauce. The potatoes are perfect, & that garlic sauce is addictive!

Whilst visiting my son in Canada, we found this restaurant without any effort.
On entering we were greeted by friendly staff who offered both outside or inside seats, it was raining in August (I know, right!) so we chose to sit inside.
A lovely ambience with nice music & mosaic topped tables.
The restaurant has a simple menu offering Lebanese food.
We started with a big bowl of babaganoush with pita bread to dip.
My daughters both assured me it was absolutely delicious. I had spent the last 10 days eating non-stop so only ordered a Julius sandwich deal.
Now, I had been eating at least three times a day on this visit & this is the only review that I will be doing.
The Julius sandwich was the most delicious thing I had eaten all trip.
Unfortunately, I didn't take a photos of my meal but my daughter took these two, but l still wanted to make a review.
Say no more.

While the service was great, I found the food pretty oily & unhealthy. I ordered a full plate with some chicken that was extra seasoned & oily, & the salad served was too oily as well.
I'll say that the cooking method could be a bit cleaner, the taste will last anyway.

I keep coming back to Omnivore on Saint-Denis, & for good reason. It genuinely feels like eating at a local Lebanese family restaurant, not a commercialized version of one. Every ingredient is ultra fresh, the hummus is silky, the skewers are perfectly spiced straight off the grill, & the salads are vibrant & full of flavor. The portions are generous & the price point is very reasonable for the quality you get. The ambiance is warm & cozy, the kind of spot where you immediately feel at ease. Service is attentive & genuine. Whether you go for a platter, a sandwich, or just a few mezzes, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic food & service. One of the best meals I had on my trip. Many great vegetarian options as well.
