Omnivore is widely praised as a standout destination for authentic and high-quality Lebanese cuisine, often described as a homey and sophisticated alternative to standard quick-service spots. Patrons consistently highlight the ultra-fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a diverse menu that caters exceptionally well to vegetarians and vegans alike. While the vast majority of diners celebrate the warm ambiance, efficient service, and the vibrant terrace, occasional feedback suggests that service speeds can fluctuate during peak periods. Overall, the restaurant earns high recommendations for its flavorful dishes, reasonable price point, and welcoming atmosphere, making it a favorite for both casual meals and group gatherings.
I keep coming back to Omnivore on Saint-Denis, & for good reason. It genuinely feels like eating at a local Lebanese family restaurant, not a commercialized version of one. Every ingredient is ultra fresh, the hummus is silky, the skewers are perfectly spiced straight off the grill, & the salads are vibrant & full of flavor. The portions are generous & the price point is very reasonable for the quality you get. The ambiance is warm & cozy, the kind of spot where you immediately feel at ease. Service is attentive & genuine. Whether you go for a platter, a sandwich, or just a few mezzes, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.
The food here is amazing. I ordered the omnivore plate with chicken & it paired very well with their garlic sauce. The hummus & olive oil were also really good. I'm definitely coming back to try some of their other menu items!

One of my go-to's for takeout! Love this place. I have two areas they can improve though. 1) It would be nice to be able to give an option for 2 different dips as opposed to'only hummus' or'all 3 drips', & 2) It would be nice to know what the salad of the day is. I always order this option but I just received an'orzo salad' which can't really be called a salad because it is just orzo & dried cranberries... & perhaps consider striking that one from your salad rotation. Will keep ordering from you, but these are some ways you can improve!
Oh my goodness, so good. I had the herbivore x5 & every single thing was delicious. It's rare to find vegetarian kebbe where I live, so this was a real treat! The orzo, grape leaves, & fattoush were excellent. The hummus was fresh & smooth. The battata were well seasoned & great texture. The babaghanouj was smoky & balanced. The tabbouleh was fresh & delicious. My friend had the chicken & had no complaints either. Highly recommend!
Probably my favorite meal during our time in Montreal, everything was so delicious, but I am still thinking about the potatoes & hummus. I will for quite some time!
Authentic middle eastern Lebanese cuisine in the heart of Montreal! Very generous portions & savory dishes... I had the carnivorous dish with baba ghannouj, hummus, fattoush (salad), lentil rice & toum (garlic), along with 3 skewers of meat (shish taouk & kafta) & Lebanese lager Almaza. Also possible to have a glass of ksara red wine. Vegetarian options available. Make sure to order a side of batata Harra (spicy potatoes)!
I recently dined at a Lebanese restaurant & had the pleasure of trying the Omnivore dish, which included both chicken & beef. The flavors were rich & authentic, perfectly complemented by the fresh fattouche salad, flavorful lentil rice, & smooth hummus. The homemade lemonade was absolutely superb-refreshing & tangy, it was the perfect companion to the meal. I also enjoyed a strong, aromatic black coffee to finish, which rounded off the experience beautifully. The combination of delicious food & quality drinks made this a memorable meal. Highly recommended!
