On a prit 2 repas végétarien à 5 choix pour emporter & j'ai été surprise de la petite quantité servie considérant que ce sont des assiettes à 19,50$ + taxes chacune. Je n'ai pas un très gros appétit & pourtant j'en aurais prit plus. Niveau goût, le baba ganoush avait un bon goût fumé de grill, c'est probablement le meilleur que j'ai mangé de ma vie. Le hummus & la salade de carottes était excellents. La salade d'orzo, la salade de betterave, les patates & le pain pita étaient correct. Le kebbe était exquis, mais il n'y en avait qu'un dans la boîte, ce qui m'a beaucoup surpris. Je m'attendais à en avoir 3 considérant la taille. Dans l'ensemble, la bouffe est bonne, mais la quantité est vraiment, vraiment trop petite pour le prix. D'habitude, les restos libanais font des boites pleines à craquer & ajoutent de la sauce en bonne quantité gratuitement, ici les sauces comptaient comme des choix. Je n'y retournerai pas, malheureusement.
A really cozy restaurant with gorgeous walls in DDO ❤?❤? We made reservations & started with Moussaka as the appetizers. For the main dishes we had the Omnivore with chicken, Carnivore along with Piri & it was so delicious ❤?❤? We particularly loved the garlic sauce & the basmati rice & lentil rice 😇😇 The chicken & beef were so well-made & had moisture & each bite was a gourmet's delight ❤?❤? Cannot wait to come back to this 10/10 restaurant & try other items on the menu as it is the perfect venue to bring family & friends
Honestly such a great place. The portions are decent, the potatoes & garlic sauce are out of this world & so are a lot of other stuff on their menu. I genuinely hope it stays open for a very long time, you guys are doing great!!!
The pinnacle of Lebanese food! Everything is to die for! The garlic sauce is world class along with the rest of the fresh menu! Best in the west hands down!
I always love the food at Omnivore, but the last time disappointed me. The potatoes were overly salted & there was a lot of garlic sauce in the shawarma, which was overpowering. Kind of lost the taste of the sandwich itself. For 2 sandwiches, 1 beef hummus & 1 potato, it came down to 70$. On the pricey side for what we get. Again, usually delicious food, but for the price, I'd expect the flavours to be balanced!
With this being next to Boustan's, it's a no brainer to go here. I suggest the lemonade - it's not too sweet & is homemade. They also give you an unholy amount of garlic sauce & humus, so I don't have to pay extra for sauce (like I normally would). The staff is super kind as well. They also cater to gluten intolerances or diseases, just ask.
Always a warm welcome & smiles from all staff; servers, cooks & kitchen staff. Joyful & pleasant decor, lots of REAL plants...tastefully decorated during holidays, but not overly so. Don't feel rushed to leave whenever is over, ok to linger, whether alone or in a group (had a small group gathering of ladies in our 50s in the winter & we appreciated being able to actually hear one another speaking unlike many other restaurants where to noise level, music or acoustics of location make it difficult to have conversations). Some of us are of mixed Lebanese origins so we really appreciated the homemade Lebanese & fusion dishes. My personal favorites are the samac (fish) sandwich & the Thai fusion (chicken instead of beef) sandwichwith peanut sauce. Love the homemade lemonade with hint of mint.
Amazing fresh food & great ambiance. Their omnivore chicken plate is to die for. We also had the djaj combi with potatoes & garlic sauce. Very clean place & the plants add a great ambiance. We will definitely be back
