Unreal experience at New City Gas! The production, sound system, & lighting are next level, & the atmosphere is unmatched. The crowd energy is amazing, & the venue is well organized despite how busy it gets.
Staff & security are professional, & everything runs smoothly. One of the best electronic music venues I've been to in Montreal, highly recommend!
One of my favourite venues for music events! The washroom stalls are nothing special, but there's a common fountain for everyone to wash their hands. It's really cool. It has 2 levels. The bottom level is like a lounge; it is not intimate. The top level is like a warehouse; high ceilings & more of space to dance. Only downside about this space is that it gets really crowded at sold out shows; this could also be because that oversell some shows. They need better crowd control.
Too crowded. It turns the crowd very pushy since everyone's walking over each other. Even in metal shows I don't get pushed around THAT much. 70% of that capacity would be 5/5
Great venue & great music. Was very crowded but that was to be expected.
it s one of a kind venue. if you have them budget enjoy a good VIP table & avoid the crowd downstairs
The place was super duper crowded. You can barely dance. The club is huge & has fancy lights. Good crowd though. The staff is friendly. I would say pick & choose your DJ. We went with Camel Phat & was 3/5. Have seen much better lightening & sounds than this but it is worth a visit if you love partying. Drinks are $$$.
Got to experience Crankdat performing on the first 360? stage at the venue, absolutely perfect stage setup for the venue. visuals were awesome, sold out show but still had room in the crowd, bar prices were decent & was not over heating. Enjoyed my first time going to NCG & it definitely won't be my last!
Went to see Adventure Club & also the New Year Markus Schulz show. The venue is cool, the sound is decent, the staff was all professional. A few notes: Some of the bartenders do not know English well, I ordered a Gin Soda, & was given a Grey Goose Soda with lemon juice (costs $3 more than what I wanted). Not a big deal, but it was annoying. The New Years event was extremely crowded, you could not move at all, packed full of people, it would have been better if there was less people. Giving it 4/5 cause the overcrowded New Years event was disappointing, otherwise the Adventure Club event was a 5/5.
This nightclub is probably the best in Montreal! They always have amazing EDM DJs & the crowd is friendly.
Went there for a Meduza show & was pleasantly surprised. Very unique setup with multiple floors of different music styles & main floor hosting headliners. Quite well managed & servers & bouncers were respectful. & most importantly crowd was great. Highly recommend.
Honestly, great venue, terrible staff- super rude. Depending on the Dj depends on the crowd. I've had a great night here & I've walked out the door after one drink. Proceed with caution on the event. But a beautiful space!
Great venue, but popular events tend to be oversold & are way too crowded.
Looking for a place to hang out in a dense crowd between 3-5am after the show, while you wait in line to pick up your coat from a tiny counter with three confused staff supposed to serve a thousand people? EXTREMELY OVERCROWDED !!! I've been to 3 shows at New City Gas & all 3 of them were way too crowded. I've been to sold out shows in other venues & none of them were as crowded as this place. Plus the staff was very rude & impatient because they wanted us to move to keep certain areas clear (which normally I'd understand for safety & other reasons) but there was literally no room for us to move. If they bring down the number of people they let in I'd come back but for now I'll pass. It's a shame cause New City Gas brings in really good artists I'd love to see, plus they have a great sound system & a great stage with screens & lights but it's not worth seeing these shows with the overcrowded experience you get.
