Yesterday was my first time visiting New City Gas, & I just want to share how wonderful our experience was.
My wife is pregnant, so we were a bit concerned about comfort & guidance when we arrived At the VIP entrance, there was an Asian Indian gentleman Abdul who truly made our night special. He kindly helped us with the coat check, patiently explained everything about the venue, & made sure we felt comfortable & welcomed.
His kindness, professionalism, & respectful attitude really stood out. It's rare to meet someone who goes the extra mile with such genuine care.
If you're seeing this, sir - thank you so much once again. We truly appreciate you. 🙏

Unreal experience at New City Gas! The production, sound system, & lighting are next level, & the atmosphere is unmatched. The crowd energy is amazing, & the venue is well organized despite how busy it gets.
Staff & security are professional, & everything runs smoothly. One of the best electronic music venues I've been to in Montreal, highly recommend!

Ma soirée au New City Gas a été extrêmement décevante. La serveuse a entré elle-même un pourboire sur l'appareil avant même de nous le remettre, sous prétexte que nous ne lui donnerions pas assez. Nous voulions pourtant choisir nous-mêmes le pourcentage. Elle a même insinué qu'on allait lui donner un mauvais tip.
De plus, la barmaid a tenu un commentaire déplacé : « Si vous n'avez pas d'argent, vous ne devriez pas sortir. » - ce qui est totalement inacceptable dans un contexte de service à la clientèle.
À cela s'ajoute le fait que des consommations ont été ajoutées à notre facture alors que nous ne les avions pas commandées. Finalement, il y a eu une situation problématique avec la réservation du booth, qui nous a coûté beaucoup plus que ce qui avait été prévu initialement.
Je ne recommande pas cet établissement, surtout pour un groupe qui s'attend à un minimum de respect & de transparence.
My first time was in 2013. To this day it is one of the greatest venues in the world.
Whether you're visiting or are a Montrealer this place is an absolute must destination to visit. The ambiance is incredible, sound system is uncontested as will be the memories.
So fortunate that I get to go now on a regular basis. I think the venue is only getting better with time. Definitely recommend!
Parfait 👯 Highly recommended for conferences, corporate events, or any night where you want something truly special. The atmosphere is fantastic - plenty of dancing, a tightrope walker, & an incredible DJ who keeps everyone on their feet.
Mais - & c'est un gros mais - les venues de DJ sont écoeurantes. Les décors sont toujours magnifiques, & les éclairages, technologiquement parlant, sont absolument incroyables. Ça te fait littéralement voyager.
Malgré tout, c'est une des plus belles découvertes à Montréal pour la scène rave & techno. Un must absolu.
Good club, overcrowded bars & they have sectional for vip only. I'd recommend a smaller venue you'll get more bang for your buck. Unless you're going to see a well known artist.
Went there for a Meduza show & was pleasantly surprised. Very unique setup with multiple floors of different music styles & main floor hosting headliners. Quite well managed & servers & bouncers were respectful. & most importantly crowd was great. Highly recommend.
The staff is amazing, but the venue is always cold. Be sure to wear a sweater. I highly recommend getting VIP if you're visiting alone, which I do a lot due to my work schedule

La musique est tres bonne puis les effets sonores sont tops. Par contre, l'approche & la gestion du personnel est terrible. Aucune empathie pour les gens , à laisser des personnes sans manteau dehors car ils n'ont plus leur ticket. Lorsqu'on voulait sortir il nous bloquer l'entrée sans justification Beaucoup d'abus de la part du personnel. Je vous recommande un minimum de contact avec tout personnel de las bas.
Great club! Visited for Ilesoniq & went two nights. Friday night we didn't even realize how to get to the main room & still had a blast in the downstairs area. Sunday night for Above & Beyond was incredible, finally made it to the main room & such a cool space. Great sound & lights. Highly recommended & we will be back!
