The reviews aren't wrong. This is an amazing restaurant. Really top quality. I'll start with the atmosphere (vibes), & they were amazing. I loved the decor; it really added to the whole experience. Great work. Our waitress was so sweet, gave us some recommendations, & kept bringing us water! Now for the food, it was super. I got the spicy dry ramen; keep in mind it's actually really spicy but super good, so I highly recommend it. We also got a side order of sweet & spicy fried chicken, which didn't disappoint. I'd highly suggest going here; you won't be disappointed. Kind of random, but they don't accept cash, so keep that in mind. Thanks for the experience. I'll be back.

Took me all this time for a review there (although I went there a while back): Decor & atmosphere is unique, it gives off the feeling of eating in the streets in an Asian country. Even the seating & all, which looked to me like classroom desks & chairs, goes along with this theme. Everything was well put & thought. Food wise, no caveats on our end as well. Takoyaki, Salmon & Crème de Bacon Mazemen were our picks. The Crème was from a suggestions from a friend that really enjoyed the fusion. I vouch their words as well. Try it once at least.

Thé au jasmin à essayer. Mazemen Neotokyo le meilleur plat selon mon opinion. Décor qui fait voyager & ambiance agréable. De loin le Meilleur endroit à ramen à Montréal.

NeoTokyo offre une expérience unique, alliant une atmosphère futuriste à des influences culinaires japonaises, rappelant des classiques de la science-fiction comme Blade Runner. Le décor est saisissant, avec des éléments qui plongent les convives dans un univers cyberpunk. L'ambiance est un bon atout, & je ne suis pas le seul à avoir remarqué cette vibe underground & moderne. Le service est chaleureux, bien qu'on note parfois une légère attente aux heures de pointe. Arriver tôt est donc recommandé. Pour notre part, un vendredi midi à 11h30, nous avions le choix de toutes les places! Côté nourriture, c'est un des grands points forts. Le ramen au curry est riche & savoureux, un véritable coup de coeur! De nombreux critiques encensent également les karaage épicés, & après les avoir goûtés, je comprends pourquoi : ils sont excellents! Cependant, certains plats, comme la pieuvre, ont laissé mes collègues un peu plus tièdes. Ce n'était pas mauvais, mais il manquait le fameux wow qu'on attend parfois. Par ailleurs, quelques clients ont mentionné que les prix sont un peu élevés comparés à d'autres restaurants de ramen à Montréal. Dans l'ensemble, NeoTokyo est un excellent choix pour les amateurs de cuisine japonaise, offrant à la fois des plats traditionnels & innovants dans un cadre visuellement captivant. Avec sa nourriture savoureuse & son service sympathique, c'est un petit resto intéressant pour vivre une expérience culinaire unique à Montréal.

Initialement, je ne suis pas la plus grande adepte des ramens mais ce restaurant a remis mes goûts en question. Après une petite attente, nous avons été accueillis par un serveur très agréable qui nous a tout de suite mis à l'aise. Étant végétarienne, j'ai opté pour le ramen aux champignons qui était succulent. La décoration était assez immersive grâce aux néons au plafond & l'ambiance était très conviviale. Je serais heureuse de revenir tester les autres plats de nouilles :)

Third time coming here & I am never disappointed! The decorations are on point & very immersive. Service is 100%. If you are looking for an amazing soup try out the TanTan soup. Definitely on the top of my list specifically with the cold season up ahead.

Expérience à la hauteur de mes attentes. Acceuille chaleureux & service impeccable. Nous avons bien fait d'écouter les conseils du serveur pour nos choix de plat & de boissons. Excellent cocktail & très bon saké froid. Rien a dire de négatif. Une nouvelle adresse à retourner très certainement. Excellent endroit à amener une "date" ou pour un souper entre amis dans un décors qui nous transporte à l'étranger.

I've grown to love mazemen, as a flavorful & less fat-heavy alternative to ramen, but it's hard to find. So when I heard that Neotokyo specializes in the dish, I decided to swing by for dinner. The futuristic decor is a fun touch & the staff are friendly, & I was very happy with my food. I ordered the Neotokyo house mazemen & the cucumber salad, & both were delicious & reasonably priced. I'll be back!

The interior decoration is quite unique! I like the phone booth at the side! Food wise, soup broth is thick & can be salty for some people, but i feel it's flavourful. Chilli spice level is super low. When they say it's spicy, it's just peppery. So you can always request for the chilli power later. The dry noodles can be oily for some but I feel that's the correct texture. Add the rice that comes with it to level up the dry noodles experience! Give that a good mix & the rice will actually cling onto the noodles. Service wise, do be patient. The chefs are attentive & noticed the customers needs really fast. But the servers might require slightly more patience as they tend not to notice the customers.

Atmosphere & decor were incredible! Staff were attentive & friendly. However, the food was really lacking. My noodles were way too over seasoned tasting super salty & fatty making it unpleasant to eat. Fastfood quality made it feel overpriced unfortunately.

Une expérience culinaire de qualité, les plats sont copieux, extrêmement bien cuisinés. Le sorbet aux agrumes est délicieux. Il a un goût de trop peu, on y reviendra. Le service est agréable & suivi. Le lieu est assez bien décoré dans une ambiance urbaine & japonaise. Un incontournable pour moi, j y retourne souvent.

Really cool decor for a restaurant for sure! Unfortunately, the food was not exactly up to par considering the price point in my opinion. Takoyaki was tasty, nothing negative about it. The Mezamen I thought tasted ok & is a nice option. The Tonkotsu ramen was the most unfortunate as it made my friend sick & tasted odd. I do not know if they put some sort of cream or milk in the broth but it tasted as though cream had not been tempered in the broth properly & curdled, which is too bad. I value a restaurant's food above all else which is why I am only giving 3 stars, but we otherwise had a good service & the atmosphere was fun.

Came here to see the interior decor but will be back for the food. The tonkotsu ramen exceeded the expectations I had based on reading reviews here. Portion size is slightly smaller than I would like but what you get is good.

Première fois & c'est une bonne expérience ! Installée au comptoir on peut voir les cuisiniers à l'oeuvre & les odeurs nous ouvre assez vite l'appétit ! La décoration est vraiment réussie, la musique & l'ambiance générale est sympa ! J'ai commandé du poulet karaage, Gyoza & nouilles à la crème de bacon ! Tout était bon, en particulier le poulet que j'ai trouvé très moelleux & bien savoureux ! Le plat de nouilles & bacon bon aussi mais vite très rassasiant je n'ai pas pu le finir. J'ai trouvé aussi que c'était un peu trop fort en sel à mon goût. Les serveurs sont très sympa ça fait plaisir on se sent bien reçu & à l'aise ! Prix correct pour l'emplacement mais un peu d'attente tout de même

Première fois que j'y mettais les pieds, sûrement pas la dernière, mais plus pour le lunch. Mazemen, ramen, poulet frit piquant, aubergine & saké , un peu de tout pour passer une bonne soirée! Très peu de saké sur la carte. Un service rapide. Une nourriture qui se défend sans être dans les meilleurs. Ça vaut tout de même le détour, si ce n'est que pour l'ambiance & le décors.
