It took 30m to get the attention to order. It's a Sunday night, restaurant wasn't crowded so not sure why! We noticed the waitress also the barmaid, hence, our cocktails wasn't great, it's weak, waterdown!
Sashimi wasn't great, small pieces, 20 pieces for $125
We took the 5 courses service for $135/person & each service came painful slow!
It took almost 4hrs to finish our meals.
Summary, slow service, medium to average food experience & high price!
Final tab came to $775 (with only 3 drinks) for the three of us!
It was my daughter birthday & we were disappointed with the experience!
Belle soirée ! Merci à Samantha pour l'accueil, Olivier pour le service & aux chefs pour la nourriture, nous nous sommes régalés !
The food is some of the best I've had in Montreal! I highly recommend the Omakase for the variety & creativity. Although mocktails aren't on the menu, the bar put together a great combination for us. They even let us try one, & when it wasn't to our taste, made us a new mocktail with adjustments. I like that kind of collaborative approach.
The speed of service could be improved, but we were compensated with upgraded food & free drinks, so we can see that they take it seriously.
Expérience avec chef au comptoir en couple: bon, produits frais, chef symapthique mais vraiment trop cher pour ce que cela est.
Service pas assez discret, ce qui contraste avec les cuisiniers qui eux le sont
Amazing experience, fresh & inventive, really impressive decor, great wine list. Would definitely return.
My experience at Nama was spectacular. The food was both creative & delicious. At first I wasn't sure what japanese & french inspired omakase would be but by the end my eyes were opened. Chef GaCong was a joy to be around all night & explained his menu with such an obvious passion & love for his craft.
Wonderful meal at Nama, really fresh ingredients & complementary flavours. The Granny Smith scallop was the highlight for me
One of the top ten meals we've had in restaurants in 40 years of world travel.
Thanks to chef GaCong Ruan & staff for the great food & hospitality, we had a lovely evening for my wife's birthday.
We particularly enjoyed the CHUTORO & BOTAN EBI!
