Staff was very friendly & professional, they explained the menu in detail & asked for feedback.
The sushi was excellent, the variety was nice & the sushi rice was as good as I've ever had.
The wagyu bite we had as an extra was amazing. I also really enjoyed the dessert, a rice pudding with ice cream, really interesting flavor & textures.
Great selection of cocktails & wine by the glass.
I think you get good value for the money here, definitely a place to splurge. Highly recommended.

Restaurant à visiter/découvrir incontestablement ! J'ai réservé pour le Omakaze pour les 18 ans de mon beau fils afin de lui faire découvrir la délicatesse de la cuisine japonaise & pari réussi à 100% ! Tout était excellent, des saveurs fondantes mariées avec perfection par le Chef ! J'ai même été surprise par la crevette sucrée du New Brunswick ! Le service est vraiment parfait, avec le sourire & très professionnel de la part de tous les employés ! Alors c'est avec beaucoup de plaisir que je vous recommande d'y courir & moi je vais y retourner c'est garanti ! Merci pour cette belle expérience 🙏 qui m'a rappelé Hokkaid? !
Expérience exceptionnelle & privilégié avec le chef & son équipe. Le service était génial & j'ai même eu le droit à une petite surprise pour le dessert. Encore merci à toute l'équipe, je recommande vivement l'expérience!

Amazing experience at Nama! We tried the omakase & every dish was fresh & delicious. Great service from Felix & Titouan who made good recommandations of drinks to pair with the food from their selection of sake & japanese whiskeys.
Delicious & affordable omakase - 12 services at a good pace, composed of two appetizers, 8 nigiris & one meal & one dessert. The quality of the fish was excellent, the ratio rice/fish perfect, & the temperature of the rice brought it all together. I'm usually not a fan of foie gras but the small amount that accompanied the duck in the main meal was just perfect, almost like a condiment. dessert tasted very good but I would skip the rice in it as it brought a weird texture (& I usually like rice pudding). Overall great experience & I definitely recommend. Chef is friendly & service is good!

Can't recommend this place enough! Amazing service, great drinks & the fish was very fresh. Our favourite was the shiromi carpaccio & shift shell crab.
I had a phenomenal experience eating there. The duck was my personal favourite; it wasn't too overwhelming on the palate & nicely paired with the raspberry sauce. The rice pudding was also very enjoyable. The taste profile was very subtle, but equally good. The texture on it was on point! The waiters made the experience even better, offering a very welcoming atmosphere to the customers. Every dishes were thoroughly explained & gave a nice insight on the source of the ingredients. Would highly recommend. Also the espresso martini, chefs kiss.
We were a group of 6 & had the $170 omakase course, & the experience was amazing from start to finish. The restaurant has a really nice, chill vibe with great music played at the perfect volume so we could actually have a conversation. Our waiter Felix & the manager Titouan were extremely nice & took the time to explain every dish & the optimal way to eat each one. Following their recommendation, we tried the TENMEI Junmai Hiire Orange Label sake, which had a very crisp taste & was incredibly smooth to sip on throughout the entire meal. Among the various dishes we were served, there were a few major highlights: the beef tartare was excellent on its own, but I highly recommend putting all the sides provided on the plate into the seaweed sheet for an unbelievable combination. The eggplant katsu was also delicious, especially when eaten simultaneously with the salad. We were served four different types of nigiri that were all unique in flavor & absolutely delicious. To top it all off, I had an espresso martini at the end of the course which went very well with the dessert. It was a fantastic meal with top-tier service.
Absolument impeccable. À ne pas manquer à Montreal. Le service est digne d'un restaurant étoilé. La qualité des ingrédients. Attentif. Généreux. Frais. Équilibré. Chaleureux. Je suis allé chez Nama Omakase sur la recommandation d'un ami & j'ai vécu une expérience vraiment différente. Chaque plat préparé par le chef était très réussi. L'endroit est petit, mais ça rend l'ambiance plus intime & spéciale. Le service était très attentionné. Les prix sont élevés, mais pour l'expérience, ça vaut vraiment la peine. En général, j'ai été très satisfait.
I had the pleasure of dining at Nama this evening for their Omakase experience. From beginning to end, the service & food is incredible. The staff & chef ensure you enjoy every part of the evening. Chef GaCong clearly loves what he does because he put so much attention into every dish. He was a delight to chat with. If you ever want to celebrate an event or simply enjoy a new experience, I strongly recommend Nama.

The food was outstanding, & the service matched the high standard the kitchen set. Our server (Félix) knew the menu inside & out-walking us through each dish, explaining what everything was, & even sharing the best way to enjoy it. Great experience from start to finish. I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.
Une expérience culinaire mémorable grâce au menu dégustation, qui nous a permis de découvrir des plats raffinés, créatifs & parfaitement équilibrés. Chaque service était soigné & bien présenté, avec des saveurs surprenantes & harmonieuses.
Le service était attentionné sans être envahissant, & l'ambiance chaleureuse & décontractée rend l'expérience encore plus agréable. Une très belle découverte que je recommande sans hésitation. Nous y retournerons assurément !
I can't even begin to state how delicious the meals at Nama were. So thoughtfully curated, so well presented & incredibly tasty!
We decided on the 135$ set course meal & we received 10 items in total, & I couldn't tell you what our favorite dish was as everything was delicious! The set menu came with generous portions of a carpaccio, a scallop/endive dish, a squash/stracciatella dish, a fried eggplant katsu, a roasted brusselsprout dish, 4 types of nigiri, 2 types of makis, a duck/foie gras main & 2 desserts. If you ever go, everything we had was so delicious so you truly cannot go wrong with anything you select, but I HIGHLY recommend trying the eggplant (one of the best eggplants dishes I've ever had) & the sake dessert!!!
Now, for those of us who enjoy ambiance & finish selections at restaurants, what a truly gorgeous experience it was to eat at Nama. From the beginning of the night, you are greeted with such class & such service that just further built the ambiance to a luxurious level for us. Our waiter was intentional, detail oriented & though we went on Valentine's Day weekend & they were very busy, we never felt forgotten. The space is so beautifully designed which only enhanced our experience.
Overall, you can tell that a lot of love goes into every aspect of this restaurant - from the food, to the experience they deliver to their guests, & the way it was designed & thought out. It wasn't transactional & we were so well taken care of. If you're ever looking to splurge on dinner, this is the place to do it.
Absolutely incredible time. Did the Omakase experience on January 10th & fell in love with food all over again. Everyone from the chef to the staff was incredible. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!
