Delicious & affordable omakase - 12 services at a good pace, composed of two appetizers, 8 nigiris & one meal & one dessert. The quality of the fish was excellent, the ratio rice/fish perfect, & the temperature of the rice brought it all together. I'm usually not a fan of foie gras but the small amount that accompanied the duck in the main meal was just perfect, almost like a condiment. dessert tasted very good but I would skip the rice in it as it brought a weird texture (& I usually like rice pudding). Overall great experience & I definitely recommend. Chef is friendly & service is good!
Wow, what a place. Beautiful restaurant, stone columns pushing past 5 metres, exposed brick. The kind of room that just feels special without trying too hard. Definitely worth the detour.
The staff really made our evening. Friendly, warm, & they know their stuff. Our server walked us through the menu, helped us pick the right wines & sakes , real good advice, not just upselling. He took the time to explain each dish, which made everything taste even better somehow.
The food? Really excellent. Fresh, creative, every plate looked amazing & tasted even better.
Go. Seriously. & when you get there the DJ. Just trust us on that one.
Le restaurent est superbe avec ces hauts plafonds & fenêtres en hauteur. Les plats sont préparés par un chef exceptionnel, ils sont exquis. Nous nous sommes laissés guidés par notre serveur Félix lequel était à l'écoute de nos préférences & nous a très bien conseillé. Belle découverte. Nous y retournerons certainement.
We celebrated our 10-year anniversary by booking omakase for 2. The chef was really friendly & chatted with us about his culinary background. They accommodated my partner's allergies & were really thoughtful knowing we were celebrating a milestone. Great for date night or intimate celebrations!
Can't recommend this place enough! Amazing service, great drinks & the fish was very fresh. Our favourite was the shiromi carpaccio & shift shell crab.

We had a wonderful time for the first Omakase service. The staff is very nice & the chef is super sweet. The people make the soul of a place, & this place has a lot of soul. Every course was great to excellent & the nigiri were on par with top establishment I've had the chance to visit in Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto. This is not a gimmick, it's a proper Omakase. Will return, highly recommendable.
Great chef, great experience, great taste. A true Japanese sushi experience in MTL. The manager is also very good to make you feel unique & answer to your needs.
From the second you sit at the counter, everything feels intentional: the calm atmosphere, the attention to detail, & the way each course is introduced makes you slow down & actually enjoy every bite. It's not rushed at all, which I loved.
The sushi itself is on another level. Each piece is crafted right in front of you, & you can really taste the quality of the fish.

I had a phenomenal experience eating there. The duck was my personal favourite; it wasn't too overwhelming on the palate & nicely paired with the raspberry sauce. The rice pudding was also very enjoyable. The taste profile was very subtle, but equally good. The texture on it was on point! The waiters made the experience even better, offering a very welcoming atmosphere to the customers. Every dishes were thoroughly explained & gave a nice insight on the source of the ingredients. Would highly recommend. Also the espresso martini, chefs kiss.
We were a group of 6 & had the $170 omakase course, & the experience was amazing from start to finish. The restaurant has a really nice, chill vibe with great music played at the perfect volume so we could actually have a conversation. Our waiter Felix & the manager Titouan were extremely nice & took the time to explain every dish & the optimal way to eat each one. Following their recommendation, we tried the TENMEI Junmai Hiire Orange Label sake, which had a very crisp taste & was incredibly smooth to sip on throughout the entire meal. Among the various dishes we were served, there were a few major highlights: the beef tartare was excellent on its own, but I highly recommend putting all the sides provided on the plate into the seaweed sheet for an unbelievable combination. The eggplant katsu was also delicious, especially when eaten simultaneously with the salad. We were served four different types of nigiri that were all unique in flavor & absolutely delicious. To top it all off, I had an espresso martini at the end of the course which went very well with the dessert. It was a fantastic meal with top-tier service.
Wonderful experience with the Omakase special. Each bite was delightful, the sushi was so fresh, the pacing & amount of food was perfect. Cocktails & sake were also wonderful. As usual, the service was very personal & attentive. Brought my son for his first omakase & we both loved our experience, thank you!
My experience at Nama Omakase was memorable. The cold starters were fresh & savory, & the staff took the time to explain the ingredients behind every bite. The service was friendly & welcoming, making it clear that immense time are poured into each dish. I will definitely be back!
