Reviews describe Muru Crêpe as a charming Totoro themed café in Old Montreal with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that suits families and travelers alike. Crepes are praised for being light, golden, and slightly crisp at the edges, with standout options like the crème brûlée crepe and matcha tiramisu crepe, alongside a wide range of sweet and savory choices. Latte art and visually striking drinks, including rose latte and hojicha and matcha beverages, appear frequently in praise along with strong coffee and tea. The decor is repeatedly noted as adorable and Instagram ready, perfectly matching the Studio Ghibli Totoro theme. Service is described as friendly and efficient, though the small space can lead to wait times and occasional slower pacing when busy. Some reviews mention prices as a bit high for portions, but many feel the quality, atmosphere, and experience justify the cost. Fans of the theme often call it a must visit and say they would return for the charming environment and tasty crepes.
Muru Crêpe is a lovely cafe. We enjoyed the chicken sandwich & fabuleux crêpe. The military latte is different, delicious & so cute. The staff were friendly & service was fast which was especially helpful with a toddler in tow. My kids loved the fish tank near the washroom. The themed decor is fun. My family would go back.
Food was good & decor was ok (more a cafe with Ghibli decorations than a fully themed space) but the chai latte was bland & diluted. The drink tasted more like the cinnamon topping (does not include themed latte art) than actual tea & not worth the extra dollar you have to pay for alternative milk. Food was ok but the drinks are 50/50 told staff about it but were dismissive & cared more about checking out & getting us out the door than dealing with comment.
Cute place very close to the port of Montreal. Ghibli themed. Nothing special about the food or drinks but prices are way inflated. Small portions for big bucks. We got 1 crepe & 3 drinks & spent $45 with tip included. The drinks were served in small glasses with lots of ice. The service was good though.
TOTORO themed cafe! とてもかわいい!The crepes were really flavourful. We tried the Chicken white wine crepe, & the Banana Brulee. So good!! The drinks were also really good. Nice touch with the totoro latte art!

For Totoro Fans, Muru is a must visit! The cafe is colorful, cute & cozy with themed art from Studio Ghibli's Totoro. We reached the cafe at 1.40pm in the afternoon & they close at 2.30pm. & so, the kitchen wasn't taking any more food orders but we ended up getting an iced coffee, just to spend time with the little Totoro-world in Montreal. We weren't disappointed. The staff is warm, friendly & accommodating. We will come back for the crepe!
Highly recommend! This little Ghibli themed cafe is very cozy & the food is great. The chocolate hojicha is amazing. We had sandwiches & omelettes, the savoury options were great too, tho slightly smaller portion wise. We also ordered the crème bulee crepe, tapping the caramel on top was so satisfying! Would definitely come back again.
Not the most organized/ coordinated. Main crepe came out about 5 minutes prior to the dessert crepe despite asking for them to be offset. Drinks came out 20 min into eating. Overall a nice place for a fancy themed coffee. Otherwise crepes didn't standout from any other place.
cute totoro themed cafe near old port! they have totoro puzzles & small gifts to purchase in store. the food was pretty good overall. i would recommend the avocado toast. it has lots of bacon pieces mixed into the avocado. the matcha latte was not that good though (matcha was not that strong or fragrant). nutella crepe was very yummy too!

Very cute location & the cafe was perfectly themed. Location is a bit small & I do not believe they take reservations so it can get pretty crowded, however staff was very accommodating. Food was very delicious & filling. Would go again.
A cute little Totoro themed cafe right near the port of Montreal. Food was AMAZING. We both got the croque poulet & the maple latte. Latte art was also Totoro themed & the staff was extremely friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
The menu is a bit pricey but the food absolutely matches & especially the cute aesthetics, which is Totoro themed. We had the flame brûlée crepe & matcha tea, both were so delicious!
Cute themed restaurant. Food was excellent, service was fast. Their cat coffee mugs are very cute but impractical if you add sugar to your coffee. They also provided regular cups for us. Would definately recomend this place.

Adorable little cafe in Old Montreal. Studio Ghibli themed - which added to the cuteness of it. For a seemingly small cafe, the maple latte & breakfast ordered blew me away. I ordered just two eggs with bacon & toast, but the breakfast potatoes were just fantastic. & the maple latte, complete with the cutest latte art I've ever received, was out of this world. We loved it so much we tried to go back the next day, only to see they were closed! Amazing visit, excited to return to Montreal to stop in again.
Absolutely excellent meal. We were in town for one day, no knowledge of the city, & we stumbled upon this little Ghibli-themed joint on an idyllic Quebecois street corner. Very close to a public parking lot. The menu was fresh & creative, & their hot drinks menu is expansive. Stellar food, drink, & service!
