At Muru Crêpe, the cozy Totoro and Studio Ghibli themed cafe in Old Montreal draws visitors with a wide menu of sweet and savory crepes, tasty drinks, and eye catching latte art. Crepes like the creme brulee variety are repeatedly praised for light texture and rich flavor, while the matcha and hojicha lattes are popular and the whimsical decor and friendly service add to the experience, though space is small, seating is limited, and some guests note higher prices and occasional slower service during peak times.
For Totoro Fans, Muru is a must visit! The cafe is colorful, cute & cozy with themed art from Studio Ghibli's Totoro. We reached the cafe at 1.40pm in the afternoon & they close at 2.30pm. & so, the kitchen wasn't taking any more food orders but we ended up getting an iced coffee, just to spend time with the little Totoro-world in Montreal. We weren't disappointed. The staff is warm, friendly & accommodating. We will come back for the crepe!
Great place for a lunch date, we tried their Crêpe Crème Brûlée & it was excellent. You could share it but you may not want to. We liked the Studio Ghibli theme especially the castle in the sky art. The service was great for french & english speakers, didnt wait long for a seat, a hidden gem of the city.

Such a cute little coffee place! great matcha with Totoro latte art, food taste amazing! Service is great, always checking if you need something. If you are a Totoro fan..this is your place!♥️🍃🫶🫰🏻🥰🥰🥰
A cute little Totoro themed cafe right near the port of Montreal. Food was AMAZING. We both got the croque poulet & the maple latte. Latte art was also Totoro themed & the staff was extremely friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
Adorable little cafe in Old Montreal. Studio Ghibli themed - which added to the cuteness of it. For a seemingly small cafe, the maple latte & breakfast ordered blew me away. I ordered just two eggs with bacon & toast, but the breakfast potatoes were just fantastic. & the maple latte, complete with the cutest latte art I've ever received, was out of this world. We loved it so much we tried to go back the next day, only to see they were closed! Amazing visit, excited to return to Montreal to stop in again.
Fun little place in a great location! The crepe & the bacon, eggs & potato plate were all lovely & very worth the price. The Chai was the only miss of the breakfast as it did not have much flavor & mostly resembled cinnamon milk, but that happens. Also loved the Studio Ghibli decor. I did notice a severe lack of Princess Mononoke, which is criminal, but I'll let it slide because of the Totoro latte art.

All 3 crepes we tried were fantastic, 2 savory & 1 sweet. The creme brulee was exceptional in taste & presentation. Highly recommend this place for crepes & artistic hot drinks.
Cappuccino & matcha latté were good. (Requested for a totoro art, & I got it, hehehe 💜💜) super duper cute place, a bit tight but cozy enough to enjoy your food & drink. Omg, creme Brule crepe is a must try!!!! It was delicious 😋 😍 Will definitely bring some friends to try other crepes, hehe 😎👍
We had brunch for two on a Saturday & it was absolutely perfect. Location: Parking is not always easy to find in this area so you might have a more pleasant experience by taking the metro; you should stop at Champs de Mars metro (orange line) & walk around 8 minutes. It is in a beautiful part of the city, in the old Montréal vicinity, so the walk there is very pleasant. *There are some streets with upward slopes in that area, so on a wintery slippery day you might consider a side street or postponing your visit instead. Food: We started with lattes (rose latte) & it was good enough; the presentation was the best part, served in a cute cup & with latte art. We also ordered the breakfast crepes & it was very tasty. There are good vegetarian options (goat cheese, mushroom, potatoes, eggs, salad, fruit etc) so you can skip meat easily if that's your dietary preference. We also ordered their famous crème brulée crepe as dessert & it was a delicious & a truly perfect way to end the meal. It was not overly sweet & the portion was quite generous. Service: The service was 10/10; staff was kind, helpful & quite fast, given how busy the cafe is (the flow of clients was constant & they were so efficient!). I will definitely come again.

I went with my best friends!! We sat next to a giant Totoro plushie. The lattes & drinks had cute little art & the decoration of the place was amazing. The waiter was quick & kind & the wait to get in wasn't too long. The crepes were delicious but not the best I've ever had, but if you're walking in expecting a crepe that's exactly what you'll get :) I recommend the three cheese salty crepe
