This restaurant is excellent & very much worthy of a 5-star rating. HOWEVER... anyone expecting to be returning to the Moishes they once knew will likely be disappointed to know that there is very little culinary resemblance to the original Moishes. I was disappointed for the changes. The steaks no longer have the signature flavour of the original. They're prepared very differently (e.g their filet mignon comes bone-in). Still delicious, but very much different. The menu selections are not quite the same. Fries are different. Even the bread is different. It's unfortunate that they did away with all of what made Moishes an excellent restaurant as a lot of people in Montreal have very fond memories of it. Not sure who made that decision & why, but whatever. Ultimately, if you're going to change the offerings that much, best not use the original branding.
That being said, the food was definitely excellent, portions generous, service was excellent, decor, etc. Not the same ambiance of the old one, but top notch nonetheless.
Btw, $23 for valet parking. Lord knows why considering what you'll be spending by the end of the night.

One of the best steakhouses & fish restaurants in the world! The bronzino fish was cooked perfectly with amazingly crispy skin & the ribeye was fantastic also! Legos & playdoh are given to kids which is a great idea to keep them busy. I highly recommend it! 👌

This was our 4th time visiting the restaurant since it opened. Last nights experience was awful.
We sat at the bar, as we normally do, didnt receive the coleslaw pickles etc..until after our appetizers arrived. Our main meal wasn't served until two hours after having arrived. We sat with dirty dishes until we piled them ourselves & the manager cleared them when walking by. We were not offered second beverages - had to try to get someone's attention to order more drinks. We again waited for our main meal dishes to be cleared & instead, decided to get up & get the bill. Our server was clearly overworked. The people sitting next to us who arrived well after us. were finished their meal before we received our main meal.
We had hoped to be offered to order coffee & dessert as we normally do, but we're so infuriated by the lack of attention we received, we got up & left with our dirty dishes at the table. The counter bar was also filthy where others had eaten.
Disappointed is an understatement & unacceptable for an establishment of this caliber.
I will say, the food was very good- as usual but we had a terrible experience.
We had a reservation & we were taken to our table promptly. The service is attentive & not rushed which is appreciated when you just want to make it a nice evening. The restaurant is beautiful. The decor elegant & trendy. Food was wonderful & portions were BIG. Highly recommend. Pricey but worth it
