J'étais une habituée de l'ancien Moishes sur St-Laurent & une cliente relativement régulière chez le nouveau Moishes depuis son ouverture le 7 juin dernier, la journée de mon anniversaire. .
L'ancien restaurant avaient un millefeuilles succulent dont le goût & la qualité étaient incomparables à celui que j'ai commandé ( la première fois) pour emporter hier. Les feuilles de pâtes feuilletées étaient molles & mouillées , la crème pâtissière avec petits grumeaux & la crème fouettée pas aussi goûteuse & onctueuse ce qui faisait sa renommée. Si j'avais goûté ce dessert au restaurant , je l'aurais retourné. J'aimerais que vous preniez cette remarque en considération.

From the huge pickles to mouth watering steak & dessert everything was superb. Worth coming back to.

Without Prejudice & in an honest effort to making this place feel as much like the original Moishes as possible:
Honestly guys - the meal was great, steaks cooked perfectly, good temp.. - perfect ambiance & atmosphere. The decor, the chairs, the lighting, the music.. everything was nice.
The complaints:
1.No hot towels before the meal.
2.Serving cole slaw, pickles & bread in that "bucket" & not placing the individual bowls & ramekins is a mistake. Make your wait staff go the extra step.
3.Desserts, at the price they're at, not thrilling. The cheesecake felt like it was straight out of the freezer & the Paris Brest was the worst i've ever had. Old cream & old pate a choux..
Upon leaving: your valet staff was practically reprimanding me for not text 10 minutes before I needed my car back. They did not have correct change forcing me to give a bigger tip than I wanted to. The environment in that front entrance is almost intimidating & not welcoming. Your hostesses/coat check people were nice, but that whole front entrance does not set a good tone when entering & leaving - these people should be on point, no matter what time of the year it is.
& that's that - Very nice first experience - we will be back!!

Ambiance was great. Service was polished. Food was hit & miss. Chicken & Monte Carlo potatoes were fabulous. 3 orders of burgers & fries were all dry & tasteless. Very classy for acknowledging our disappointment.
Desserts were humongous & rich!

The site & view was beautiful. We were sitting facing the bar area & the combination of all the beautiful lights & greenery made for a classically elegant setting. Our server was gracious & knowledgeable. Steak paired with asparagus was delicious . Desserts were good but not as good as the main meal. Ambiance was perfect. Whoever did your sound management deserves a raise. Bathrooms were luxurious.
Will definitely come back. Would definitely come back.
Ps - Valet was outrageously expensive especially since my car was parked right out front! However the guys were very nice & that took away a little bit of the sticker shock.

Love the new space! The pricing is definitely on the higher end of the range for a steakhouse but everything was delicious. The food took a while to come out, & the management took the initiative to offer us free dessert. This was a nice gesture. Our waiter Hugo was great!

L'endroit est magnifique & la qualité de la nourriture excellente. Toutefois, en raison des prix, nous nous attendions à un meilleur service. Nous avons dû attendre pour passer notre commande de vin, ils ont oublié le pain que nous avions demandés, nous avons demandé à 2 reprises d'avoir des assiettes car nous partagions les plats. Ce qui a rendu la viande froide. Désolant dans le contexte du prix. Merci spécial pour le dessert offert.

The food did not disappoint.
However, our server was extremely slow & left us waiting numerous times, not paying attention to cocktails being emptied, even when ordered them again & we saw them ready & sitting at the bar for a long time. She also cleared our plates & I asked to take it home, we waited 15 minutes for the bag. We never got to see a dessert menu & when she told us the choices, we chose immediately & still waited another 15 minutes to get it.
All this to say, she never did check on us to see if we were enjoying our meal. Lastly, she left us waiting to wait for the bill for 15 minutes, which caused the next table not to be seated at their 9:00 reservations.
Please note those who brought us our foods & water were on point.

This was our 4th time visiting the restaurant since it opened. Last nights experience was awful.
We sat at the bar, as we normally do, didnt receive the coleslaw pickles etc..until after our appetizers arrived. Our main meal wasn't served until two hours after having arrived. We sat with dirty dishes until we piled them ourselves & the manager cleared them when walking by. We were not offered second beverages - had to try to get someone's attention to order more drinks. We again waited for our main meal dishes to be cleared & instead, decided to get up & get the bill. Our server was clearly overworked. The people sitting next to us who arrived well after us. were finished their meal before we received our main meal.
We had hoped to be offered to order coffee & dessert as we normally do, but we're so infuriated by the lack of attention we received, we got up & left with our dirty dishes at the table. The counter bar was also filthy where others had eaten.
Disappointed is an understatement & unacceptable for an establishment of this caliber.
I will say, the food was very good- as usual but we had a terrible experience.

We so wanted to love the new Moishes having adored the old place. We understand change is inevitable. I did not want to write this an agonized over doing so. First of all the reservation process was a disaster. I went over it three times before we got to Montreal & I was called once the day of. I did NOT want to sit in the bar area & that is where we were seated. I told the restaurant it was my husband's birthday no acknowledgement, no candle. The service was abysmal. We specifically asked three times that the steak have spices ON it. The steak did not have spices & the garlic is now on the side. It does not work, the steak must be cooked with the spice on it, we asked for medium rare & got rare, not once did the waiter who took the order check on us after the food was delivered. I asked if the spinach was creamed spinach he said YES, it is not. Last & most important, chopped liver is not made with pine nuts!! I find it hard to believe that there was not a standard recipe for that iconic dish. You got the cole slaw right why not the liver? The drinks were wonderful, the shrimp not crisp or clean tasting, they were just big. Thankfully the dessert which was promised gratis after the spice hiccup was delicious but still no candle. We came all the way from Connecticut for the meal & as a local said upon leaving, " everyone will try it once, not sure anyone is coming back" I had to write this so you know. I want to see you succeed, & hope changes are made. The room is magnificent, now get busy with the service & tweek the menu.

It was a birthday celebration which was fine thanks to Jean Luc an excellent server.He was extremely personable & apologized for our experience which was our second time there since the opening. The meal service from the kitchen was extremely slow. A dinner that should take 2 hours took 3. For example :
The dessert which involved no cooking time took over over 30 minutes to arrive .Never got my coffee. The main course took forever . The restaurant was full & the kitchen was obviously unable to keep up with the demand on a timely fashion. Thank goodness for the bread basket & coleslaw & pickles for hungry diners.
Also the Valet Service took a longer time than
usual over 20 minutes. So govern yourself accordingly.

We were waiting a long time for Moishe's to reopen, we weren't expected a true replacement but at least some of the foods that made Moishe's a place to go in my case for about 55 years. Place looks great , we sat on the side the chairs beautiful but very heavy & not designed to eat. we had to lean forward to much, service & management high marks, To start Pickles Very Good, coleslaw really needs improvement, not Moishe's too chopped up, bread missed the mark Challah why? but the rib was amazing! need to get the good stuff like the black bread etc. spoke to Manager about the old favorite's, Latke's, Verenikas , Onion rings, Whole grilled red peppers, The dessert cart. But what I really miss are the sweet breads on the mixed grill. He said they are working on it, so we will definitely go back. Remember when you would park for free in the back lot, now get ready to pay $35.00 for Valet, with tip $40 wow! that bites.

Vous devriez réviser le panier de pain qui représenter pas la qualité de MOISHES & aussi le choix & la qualité des desserts à améliorer surtout la cream glacé aux brownie était pas bon du tout

Tout était absolument parfait & le service exceptionnel. A l exception des sièges au bar qui sont plus ou moins confortables lorsque l on y mange seule durant 3-4 heures.
Le personnel au bar où j étais assise a été fabuleux tout en étant discret & présent en même temps & que dire de la nourriture du café & du dessert - une crème glacée au chocolat tout à fait exquise.
J y retournerai sans aucune hésitation seule ou accompagnée.

Bonjour, nous avons été un peu déçu,
Nous avions demandé la cuisson de la viande porterhouse saignante & malheureusement elle était médium à cuit & il s'agissait du dernier morceau donc nous avons préféré le manger. Aussi nous avons commandé un dessert (mille-feuille) mais ce dernier n'était pas encore tout a fait décongelé. Étant donné le prix du souper, nous ne retournerons pas bientôt. En espérant une meilleure exécution à notre prochain passage. Merci

Salade Wedge avec bacon de boeuf très bon!!! le dessert Mille-feuilles & plus . Bien servi par Maria 👍
