I've had about double the portion size at other Indian restaurants for the same price with relatively same quality dishes. If you really want Indian but don't want to do too far away from downtown then this is the spot. But if you can drive somewhere further I suggest you try a different spot.
Authentic Indian food, delicious, but might be a bit spicy for some. Personally loved it, would recommend butter chicken if you're not a fan of spicy.
Best Indian food I've ever had in my life. Go-to spot for comfort food at a reasonable price. Beautiful decor & kind & patient staff. You really can't go wrong honestly.
By far my favorite Indian restaurant - the timing + flavor of the dishes is always executed, perfectly. The staff is super welcoming & the decor is very unique! You can now call me a regular!
One of my favorite indian places, amazing vibe. The portion size of food can improve.
Great place for tasty indian food, I found all the dishes I like, it looks fresh, & it's served pretty quickly in nice plates. Prices are fair. Went on Sunday evening it was easy to find a table. Easy to order. Hot beverages & desserts available on the go (try the karak Chai & pink Chai). Employees were nice too. The place looks clean. The only downside I could find is that we expected a more premium restaurant from the pictures, like classic table decoration, waiter etc which is not a problem but depends on what you are looking for & the occasion, as it works more like a take away place (menu & orders at the counter at the beginning). So it's good to know if it's for a special date or something. We really enjoyed it & will definitely come back!
Unique little Indian establishment that resembles a cafe but they seem to offer entrees as well. We just stopped by for a chai & to try the gulabjaman cheesecake - which was surprisingly delightful. Service was fine, atmosphere was nice. This is a well-executed concept.
Maison ChaiShai offers an incredible dining experience with a delightful fusion of Indian flavors. The Butter Chicken Poutine is a unique twist that's both comforting & flavorful. The Chicken Biryani is a standout dish, showcasing aromatic spices & tender meat. The overall dining experience at Maison ChaiShai is a treat for anyone seeking exceptional Indian cuisine.
It is a new place in the city to enjoy Indian tea.
I came to know about this place when owner was interviewed on the CBC radio.
Check it out.
I’ve been going to Maison ChaïShai many times. It’s a small place but very beautiful inside, most of the restaurants here doesn’t even make you feel like you’re in a Indian restaurant. But this one has a North Indian style with pretty designs !! The service is pretty good, also the food there is decent ! I just wish that the place was bigger.
Best Indian/Pakistani restaurant in downtown Montreal! Masala Fries & Biryani are must tries
