Great service & love that they always serve the small entries first. Been here many times & was never disappointed. Recommend it!
La Maison Bulgobi is a hidden gem for delicious Korean cuisine at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly & happy to recommend dishes, enhancing our dining experience. Although the outdated decor & dim lighting may not impress, the food more than makes up for it.
The server was so lovely! I dont understand why this place doesnt have much more hype. I lived in Korea & the flavors are almost the saaaaaame. I will come back again & if you are looking for some home-cooked Korean meal, you should come too. The reviews do not reflect the love of the food put into great taste.
Thank youuuu, I felt so happy & overjoyed about one of my best memories in life: living in Seoul.
I used to come here often when I lived downtown, & I still stop by occasionally whenever I'm in the area. Their Korean pork potato soup has been my go-to for over 10 years - from $7-8 back then to $15-16 now. This place has truly stood the test of time for me
Been going to Maison Bulgogi since 2009-it's hands down my go-to Korean restaurant in Montreal. It's not trying to be anything it's not: just honest, hearty, home-style Korean food that hits the spot every time.
Whenever I feel a sniffle coming on, I run straight there for their healing ginseng chicken broth.
When I'm feeling good, I always go for the dolsot bibimbap, fried kimchi rice, or seafood pajun-comfort food perfection! Their banchan are consistently top tier-the mung bean sprouts, potatoes, & kimchi are especially excellent.
The free tea is a nice touch, & the service has always been kind & efficient. A true gem.
Nice Korean food in a chill atmosphere, great selection of traditional dishes, good customer attention, waiter is really kind & friendly, good prices, I really love that most dishes come along with rice & you are served with side dishes, definitely one of my favourite restaurants in the city
Not expensive, the food is not authentic Korean & there is little service
Chill Korean restaurant with a lot of options on the menu. Perhaps some items are a hit or miss. The gamjatang was very good, generous portions with the pork bones with a good mix of lean & fatty meat & tendon. The salmon teriyaki was okay, & the BBQ eel was surprisingly tasty. I really enjoyed the fried chicken, it was very crispy & well seasoned without too much batter. The banchan that was served was decent, the braised potatoes & bean spirits were my favourite. Overall, worth coming if you have a craving for Korean food, & looking for an affordable option!
Please note that I ordered the bulgogi through Uber eats at the end of the night. For a restaurant called Maison Bulgogi, the Bulgogi was pretty bad. It was juuuust okay enough to be edible. We live in a city with incredible Korean fusion cuisine. The competition is stiff & I think the owners & chef should take a trip around the city to see what the current culinary landscape looks like for Korean food in Montreal. Do not recommend.
Amazing authentic Korean food, ordered the black beans noodles & they gladly replaced the pork with chicken due to my dietary restrictions & the beef bulgogi. Great prices great service & great food
You're not coming here for the decor but the food. Simple aesthetic, but delicious plates! Satisfied my craving for Korean food. Most loved the seafood pancake (can't remember the name), & the spicy calamari.
This is a small, unpretentious Korean restaurant downtown. I love their stews & dak galbi.
So far this is the most authentic korean restaurant in Montreal. Kimchijjigae was scorching hot as it should be, very generous amount of beef in Kalbi Tang & new interesting dish Mun a Muchim - cold salad with octopus, definitely should try if you like seafood with sweet-sour sauce. Banchan were delicious as well. The place looks simple but cozy. Prices are surprisingly moderate. Overall you definitely should try this place :)
Used to go there every week for years a long time ago. The original owners were this couple that made authentic Korean dishes. Went back & had their shabu shabu, & was not disappointed, but not amazed since it used to taste better in my memory. A great spot to go during the weekend if your options were jampacked on Saint Catherine Street.
