The moment I came inside to restaurant, the smell of the roasting of the chicken made me salivate. I didn't know what to choose because everything looks good. Someone suggested the #8, the Portuguese poutine. It's was delicious! The chicken with choriço, the cheese curds, & sauce were divine. I have to come back & try the rest.
Always the best place to eat a poutine! The spicy sauce is a must & for vegetarians, just ask for it & you get extra cheese & no chorizo/chicken ;) P.S. if you still have room for dessert, don't forget to grab a few natas!

We wanted to like it as much as everyone raves about it, but it was just good...not great. We were there on a Wed ~12 & we had maybe a 10-15 min wait - & fortunately all waiting inside to order. No line around the block. There is seating inside - more than I would have thought from the pictures/reviews, but we couldn't get a table & ended up eating it in our car. We got the #3 La Tremblay - chicken breast. It comes with a salad & fries. It's enough for 2 people. We thought the salad was great - wished there was more of that vs the fries. The fries were everywhere - you literally had to dig thru your box to find the chicken. & to me - that was the flaw. You're known for the chicken but truly - the box mostly contained fries....fries that weren't that good. Now - don't get me wrong - the chicken was good - when we could get some pieces of it. I thought the sauce with it was very flavorful. Is it worth the hoopla? Not in my eyes. Focus on what you do well - the chicken & don't surround it with bland fries.
Friendly atmosphere, with delicious food. Portions were generous, but service was not professional. I needed to ask for many things like napkin, sauce, plates, etc. Overall, it's highly recommended.
J'ai récemment visité "ma poule mouillée" avec de grandes attentes. Mallheureusement, mon expérience a été décevante. Bien que l'ambiance soit agréable & que le personnel soit accueillant, la qualité de la nourriture n'était pas à la hauteur cette fois-ci. Le poulet, censé être la spécialité, manquait de saveur malgré la sauce piquante demandé inexistante à la dégustation. De plus, les accompagnements semblaient réchauffés & peu appétissants (frites en carton & riz sans sauce, sans saveur). J'espérais retrouver les saveurs authentiques déjà testé au même endroit, mais je suis repartie déçue. J'espère qu'ils pourront améliorer leur menu à l'avenir, & retrouver l'ancienne qualité. Pas de fil d'attente, cela explique tout maintenant.
What are you doing in Montreal? Go here! The poutine is great but I think the potatoes they put under the chicken while they roast are even better & the sandwich with spicy sauce is out of this world. I'd be so happy if NYC could snag this guy...
Consistently the best poutine in Montreal (if you're looking for the OG poutine + chicken & sausage). The sauce is excellent & plenty of cheese. Too bad they don't offer any funky poutines with plenty of extras. They also have some Portuguese desserts at checkout if you've never tried.

Since this place is primary take out style we got our food as take out. When we got to our place found out the sauce has leaked out because they did not close the lid properly. Therefore the chicken tasted like any ordinary chicken. Asked for side order of rice but they didn't have & opted for the potatoes which was dry. What i liked was their egg custard tart. Overall this place was not worth the wait & hype.
Food was delicious but they messed up my order multiple times. Poutine has way too much gravy & it made fried saugy. Flavors were great! I would recommend if you want to her a great Poutine but would suggest gravy on the side. Their hot sauce was amazing. Chicken is super juicy.
Malgré l'achalandage & l'attente, la qualité & la quantité sont aux rendez-vous. Aussi, les employés sont sympatiques & polis. Très humain & savoureux. Nous avons essayé la fameuse poutine avec chorizo & poulet. Incroyable! La base de la poutine est très bonne (frite, fromage & sauce). En ajoutant leur savoureux poulet & chorizo, on obtient un mélange gagnant. La grosse poutine suffit pour remplir les gourmads & peut servir de deuxième repas pour les petits mangeurs. Les taxes sont inclus dans le prix & la machine ne demande pas de tips, une rareté de nos jours. À tester!
This was some of the best chicken I've ever had! The sauce was packed with flavor, the meat was tender & the fries were the perfect compliment. My friend got the poutine & that is a must-try (just be prepared to take a nap after). The portions are HUGE, we could have easily shared an item - we ended up with a lot of leftovers which isn't always a bad thing.
The poutine was ridiculously big & pretty good. It really all depends on whether you like their sauce, because it was on everything we ordered. You get lots of food & it is pretty good, but there is a line out the door & way too few seats for everyone. & it's very hot inside because they are grilling up the chicken right there & the AC can't keep up with that & all the people. My baby had to sit in my lap because there wasn't a highchair for her, or even a regular chair. I'd recommend taking this to go & ordering less than you think because the portions are huge. Ultimately I was just too hot & cramped to enjoy myself
The line was 30 minutes in the afternoon of a Sunday. I expected more for the reviews of the chicken however the sauce was the star of the show of the poutine. The fries kept crispy for a long time. The tables do not get wiped for a while due to how busy they are so I would take the food & eat elsewhere. Would also order the egg tarts!
C'est l'un des endroits les plus couru de Montréal mais à mesure que le temps passe, c'est à se demander pourquoi... J'y vais une fois par an & ça ne s'améliore pas. J'y suis allé aujourd'hui, c'était légèrement occupé pour un mardi après-midi. En arrivant j'ai été ignoré pendant plusieurs minutes par les employés qui semblaient avoir mieux à faire que de prendre une nouvelle commande. Pour vrai je ne sais pas ce qu'elle attendait au-delà de me regarder. La petite poutine (14$) était tiède. Le chorizo très froid. Je n'ai pas remarqué la sauce piquante que j'avais demandée (?). Le poulet était majoritairement gélatineux. C'était au mieux "ben ordinaire". Point positif, le pos de paiement ne demande pas de pourboire; ce qui semble à contre courant en 2024. Possiblement que les employés sont payés correctement, tant mieux. Bref, surtout si vous visitez Montréal, vous pouvez mourir en paix advenant que vous n'avez pas le temps de vous arrêter ici.
