We arrived around 10:15am & waited about 5 to 10 minutes while they finished their morning preparations. After that, there was no wait, & there were still seats available when we left around 10:45.
Although the menu was in French, we & many other customers were able to order in English without any issues. You may still want to translate the menu ahead of time to know what's available.
As many other reviewers have mentioned, a small poutine was more than enough for two people without being overly filling. The chicken, chorizo & cheese were very flavourful. For the price & taste, I would recommend this place.
We came to try their chicken/chorizo poutine after hearing good things about it. Service was okay, staff were generally friendly. The poutine itself came out okay. The grilled chicken was delicious, & sausage was flavourful, but the fries itself were cold & already made. It made eating the poutine itself difficult as the fries were cold & lacking in gravy. Overall, I would come back specifically for the chicken.
The poutine is good. I liked the coconut flan. we ordered a Chicken sandwich but didn't like it. Overall the place is good
LOVE IT! Best chicken in the city - the difference that charcoal makes is insane, the bifana is also so far the tastiest within Montreal. I just wish you would make 1/2 portion of small poutine, for one person the small portion is still very large & it is not reheatable.
Pretty solid poutine!
Never been much of a great poutine fan but I'd have to say the one I've had here left quite an impression & made me think otherwise.
Most poutine sold are simple & plain with just the gravy & the cheese curds, but Ma Poule Mouillée manages to change that by putting a creative spin on their dishes by offering a wide selection of different toppings & combinations, of which have been interesting to see, & hard to choose.
For myself, I had a La Scooby, which consisted of the regular poutine, with beef, deep fried pickles, bacon & cheese. It's really good, & the staff here are also friendly & food comes out relatively quick!
We did not have to wait for a table for 2, & thought we were lucky because the place was absolutely packed when we were seated. This also might be due to the bad weather at the time, but we were there around 1:30pm, on a weekend too.
The seating area however can be a bit cramped, so I find myself having to shift my chair in & out constantly to let people pass through.
Otherwise, I think it's a great stop for poutine if you're visiting Montreal! Worth every penny.
Best poutine I've ever had! Came around 12pm on a Friday & it wasn't that busy, we were able to grab a seat & enjoy it fresh.
My boyfriend & I finished a large poutine together & were full for a very long time, but it was so good.
Amazing poutine & chicken! We came right at the start of fall & the place was packed with people. Always a good sign & the food definitely lived up to it.
My favourite poutine if from Poule Mouillée, despite being in front of La Banquise (an iconic poutine place). Line ups can be long, & service at cashier is often chaotic. To speed up, you can order by phone, & eat at Parc Lafontaine, which is a 2 minutes walk away.
Heard about this place for so long I had to try the poutine. The Price & amount is incredible, & it tasted good. Not the best I've ever had but definitely decent & if recommend it. Must come back to eat a non poutine meal.
I love those poutine! I always order #8 from the menu. I find their poutine not sweet which is great chicken & chorizo works great together. I also order their passion fruit soda
The poutine is the best in the city, easily. The prices are fantastic, the portion generous. But for the love of everything that is holy, do something about the lineup. Hire another line-cook or something. The wait times for what is essentially a 4-5 item menu is a bit ridiculous.
A different poutine from the regular Montreal poutine. Unbelievable value for a dollar.
Meilleur poulet portugais du quartier, & je ne vous parle même pas de la poutine extra chorizo !!!
Superb poutine in a small location. Very little seating. Friendly staff. Very busy, expect to queue. Top tip: you do not need the large poutine unless you're a family of four 😁 (picture is of'small', which I still couldn't finish)
Great portion of food for a very fair price. For those who does not know the place. It's a small sized establisment, so you might have to order take out if there are not enough sitted places. Way better option than La Banquise just across the street ( None La Poulet Mouillée sells Rotisserie chicken therefore only 1 choice of poutine) but many chicken meal options
One of my favorites. Best poutine in Mtl! Had issues with the cashier before but this time no issues at all.
