Poutine & frite ok. aussi mais le sandwich au poulet très ordinaire, pas de sauce pas de légumes. Ça manquait de goût. Celle qui prenait notre commande ne nous regardais même pas, nous n'étions même pas certaines qu'elle nous parlait à nous.
Their chicken & chouriço poutine is crazy good. The large portion is perfect for 2-3 people. It can get pretty hot indoors with all the grilling - highly recommend taking your meal to La Fontaine park for a picnic on a nice day!
LOL do they even need another 5 star review -- It's amazing! What else is there to say. We tried a lot of poutine on our visit & this was one of the more memorable one -- Skip the overhype poutine the street, stick to Ma Poule you won't regret it.
Best chicken & chorizo poutine in town. The spot if you're looking for that salty & rich flavour!! Very busy, but worth waiting 20 minutes to go eat in the park right after.
The quality for the price is outstanding! Great chicken! I've been here at least 20+ times & I've tried everything from the poutine to the salad, I have never had a bad experience here
Excellent taste. Had the small Portuguese poutine & egg tart. Portion was massive & the taste in both the chicken & the gravy itself has an excellent level of depth to it.
Their loaded poutine with their Portuguese chicken & chorizo is out of this world (& I am normally a poutine purest who doesn't like anything but a classic poutine). Their chicken plates are also delicious & their desserts hit the spot. Prices are extremely reasonable in a 2025 context.

We ordered take out chicken, poutine, & salad. The salad was great, fresh & lightly dressed. The poutine was everything you expect, & the chicken was delicious, well seasoned & perfectly cooked.
The poutine here looks great at first glance, but unfortunately, it really lacked flavor. It felt like it was missing some key ingredients to bring it all together. After finishing it, I was left feeling thirsty & unsatisfied. Honestly, you're better off heading across the street to Kawha - much better food & a way more satisfying experience.
Fun, college vibe with amazing food! The chicken was moist & the skin was so crispy! We also enjoyed the chorizo, sandwich, poutine, & tart. Definitely recommend.
I visited around 8:00 pm on a Saturday, so it was pretty busy, but the line moved quickly. It took about 10-15 minutes from getting in line to receiving my order. I got the iconic poutine & a pastel de nata.
Poutine: My god, everything about this poutine was amazing. It was like a sample of everything Ma Poule Mouillée has to offer. The fries were thick & crispy, though a lot did get soggy from the gravy. The gravy itself had amazing flavor. The chorizo was bomb. The curds had a great chew. But the best part was the chicken -- extremely tender & smoky, hands down, the best chicken I've ever had. With all those fries & meat & curds & the gravy, you'd think it'd be super salty, but it wasn't. I got a small & it was HUUUUUGE, it lasted a few meals for me.
Pastel de nata: Highly recommend getting one. You get a nice caramelized taste from the top of the custard. The custard itself had a rosy flavor too, & it was so thick & smooth. It was probably a few hours old, but it still had a crispy & flaky crust, & the bottom had a scorched flavor that was actually pretty tasty.
