My husband & I had a terrible experience this evening. We arrived before both couples on either side of us, we ordered our drinks before both couples & were served quite a bit after them. Fries were cold. Food was subpar at best. We were ignored for the most part by the servers. Food was forgotten, we were not charged thankfully for the missing items. Never asked if we would like another drink, or if we wanted anything else.

We will not return & neither will anyone in our social circle.

We arrived at Lou at 6:30 PM, ordered our drinks, appetizer, & food. We ended up ordering a second round of drinks before even receiving our appetizer because of how long the service was taking. Our server later told us our food was punched in around 7:00 PM, but we didn't receive it until 8:12 PM. Like a hour & an half wait for the main meal is wild..

When it finally came, the steak was cold & not cooked properly. When we complained about the time, we were told the downstairs space was being rented out, which was apparently causing delays in the kitchen. What bothered us was that nobody communicated this to us beforehand or even acknowledged how long we had been waiting. We had to complain ourselves before anyone addressed it.

We left at 8:40 PM, & although we wanted to try dessert, we were so disappointed that we just wanted to leave. I genuinely didn't want to judge Lou based on the reviews I had read, but unfortunately, our experience reflected many of those same concerns. The lack of service, communication, & attention to detail really put a damper on what was supposed to be a nice date night.

We were visiting from out of town & were excited to catch up with friends we hadn't seen in a long time. Since we were chatting & taking a few extra minutes to look over the menu, our waitress seemed visibly annoyed. She stood at our table tapping her fingers while waiting for us to order, which made us feel rushed & uncomfortable.

After we ordered, it took about 25 minutes just to receive our drinks. Later, a different server took over & told us we couldn't order appetizers with our drinks & that we had to place our entire order all at once, which was surprising & not something we've experienced at other restaurants.

The food itself was good, but it wasn't good enough to justify the high prices, especially given the disappointing service. We don't mind paying more for a great dining experience, but unfortunately the poor customer service overshadowed the meal. We left feeling disappointed & wouldn't choose to return.

So so obsessed with this restaurant. The pasta was absolutely phenomenal. The fries & drinks were also delicious, as well as the oysters.

We had Simon as our waiter & he was so kind & attentive. The service was also very quick.

The restaurant is quick small so you are very close to your neighbour, which we did not mind at all.

Would recommend to anyone & will definitely be coming back!

The place is really nice & the staff is super great.
The dirty martini from lou's has its own twist that i highly recommend. The oysters are super fresh. I am not a huge fan of mignonette usually but they had a really great one. Honestly a great place for an evening drink & meal.

I will go back 100% for drinks & the vibe, especially the terasse! But food wise, other than the bread (love the butter garlic spread) was wayyyy too pricey for what it is. A pasta plate (minus the crumble meat in the sauce) for 28 dollars with about 20 pieces of rigatoni…… my toddler eats more than that! I left still hungry. The person I was with had a tasty burger with a food portioned salad with no fries for the same price but they could of added the fries come on :)

I was quite disappointed with my experience at Lou's. I had heard great things, so my expectations were high.

The food was good, but the service was very lacking. We ordered a bottle of wine & had to remind our server multiple times, as well as two other staff members, & never received it even after finishing our meal. Our server seemed more focused on drinking &chatting behind the bar than attending to our table.

It wasn't very busy, which made the lack of service even more surprising, especially as tables seated next to us were served promptly. Unfortunately, the service overshadowed the overall experience.

What a gem… The atmosphere & staff immediately make you feel so welcome & warm. The drinks are very unique & tasty, surprised they had Guinness on tap & it was up to par. We shared the Caesar salad & the half chicken, so tasty ! You can tell they care in the little details, the menus & coasters are beautiful, they continuously fill your water glass as the evening goes by & are attentive to all your needs. Super clean & cute bathrooms. I'd recommend Lou's for a date night or a nice dinner out with friends. Special shout out to our talented bar tender Daniel & Ryan who made sure we had exactly what we needed, when we needed it. The manager Jono was super friendly & accommodating; 11/10 !

Amazing evening at Lou's. Sat at the bar & was served by the sweetest waitress/bartender ever Haylo! She was amazing. She gave us great recommendations. The food was delicious with amazing presentation & they were very assiduous with the cutlery, plate changes, water, drinks, etc. We highly recommend the tuna carp, the cesar salad, crab cake, the scallops, the brioche, the rigatoni. I forget the name of the dessert but like just look at it like unbelievably yum. Seriously great fun cozy vibes, good drinks, good service, amazing food. 10/10 would recommend.

Went on a Saturday night before what it seemed to be a private event around 8. Tuna carpacio is pretty good & portion is fine but lacking acidity. wolffish(loup de mer) with potatoes is extremely small, we are talking about 50 grams of fish, when it came it felt like an appetizer. Fish portion should be doubled at least to be a sufficient protein portion in a restaurant. Potatoes in that meal not fully cooked through but overall the taste of the dish is very good although too salty. The burger is fine for the price. I feel overall that the food is not memorable although I want it to be especially in the west island, seems juvenile a bit. Cocktails were good. Overall dining experience is good. The service lacks experience & engagement, not up to par with price of food. I'd expect more knowledge & confidence when talking about meals, it is not a bistro. Also servers were all talking behind the bar instead of making sure everyone had what they needed, seems like most tables had empty drinks. Service should always be better than food because that's what brings up up the value. Overall i like it but the potential of this restaurant is not developped.
