About us
Le Surcouf is a welcoming French restaurant established in a Victorian home for over 45 years now. Dominique and the chef Serge will be pleased to help you discover the fine French classic cuisine. In the fall the restaurant offers a special game menu in addition to their regular table d'hôte that you create yourself.
Our Specialties
Veal liver, Dover Sole, Foie gras, Steak tartare, Pepper Steak flambé, Chateaubriand and Veal Kidney.

C'est toujours un plaisir de dîner au Surcouf. Tout y est parfait! L'accueil, le service, le menu, la qualité des différents plats & les petites surprises tel le sorbet & la petite mignardise à la fin. Toutes ces raisons font qu'on y revient tout au long de l'année.

Food was very good, although I would like to see some lighter options for lunch.
Very good, friendly service. Have gone there (infrequently) for 30+ years; glad to see they're still a solid choice.

What a pleasant experience. I have known of this restaurant for years yet this was our first time eating there. The night started off embarrassing as I had mistakenly made a reservation for 17:30 instead of 19:30. So we showed up 2 hours late. I felt terrible & stupid. They were very understanding & could not have been nicer. Restaurant is made up of individual rooms. So you are not in a big expansive noisy area. Nice quiet dinner, fantastic service & really good food. We were there for a birthday & my intention was to order a la carte but in the end the Bistro menu was just too hard to resist. It offers outstanding value. It was our first time but will not be our last. We are already talking about when we are going back. WOW!
