About us
Le Surcouf is a welcoming French restaurant established in a Victorian home for over 45 years now. Dominique and the chef Serge will be pleased to help you discover the fine French classic cuisine. In the fall the restaurant offers a special game menu in addition to their regular table d'hôte that you create yourself.
Our Specialties
Veal liver, Dover Sole, Foie gras, Steak tartare, Pepper Steak flambé, Chateaubriand and Veal Kidney.

via LibroFollowing an evening stroll along the boardwalk, three of us enjoyed a very pleasant dinner at Le Surcouf. Everything was beautifully presented & delicious. The server was friendly & attentive without being overbearing. The little extra touches were a fun surprise - chorizo & gouda mini muffins & artisanal bread before the appetizers, apple sherbet between courses & little sweet puffs to send us on our way. A very lovely evening & we will be sure to return when next in the area.

Le choix pour les plats est nombreux & varié. Le petit pain sans gluten, très artisanal & irrésistible ! Le hors d'oeuvre du moment, gateau foie de pintade, exquis ! Quel plaisir ! & en plus, des surprises gâteries, gracieuseté du Chef tout au long du repas : bouchées en hors d'oeuvre muffin au chorizo & fromage, trou normand sorbet pour la suite & chocolats fourrés maisons en coupe pour la fin , tous meilleurs les uns que les autres ! Avec une bonne bouteille de vin, quels délices ! & en plus , le foyer donne une atmosphère chaleureuse ! Notre table était bien distanciée en ces temps de pandémie. & une vraie crème brûlée pour le dessert, pas un flan au caramel, délicieuse & authentiquement française ! Nous sommes arrivés à 18 h & départ après 22 h, sans voir l'heure, quelle bonne causerie ! Le service est très bon. Stationnement facile au bord de l'eau. Belle marche sur la promenade au bord de l'eau. Un grand MERCI au Chef & à l'équipe ! J'ai ADORÉ ! J'y retourne bientôt !
