Bien placé, bel endroit, bon accueil, carte plutôt attrayante & & même une super entrée à partager... Malheureusement le reste de la nourriture était tout simplement indigne : frites à moitié froides & surtout à moitié cuites, tartare de boeuf sans tendreté & sans goût sauf celui de cornichon, grilled cheese informe & humide(!) très sucré & manquant scandaleusement de fromage(!!). & pas un dessert sur la carte pour les amateurs de chocolat (ce qui constitue une faute diplomatique)... Bref tout dans la déco & rien dans la cuisine, svp corrigez ça !
*Ajout suite à votre réponse* Merci, attention également aux ailes de canard succulentes mais trop sèches, & la poutine au visuel carrément pitoyable & dont les saucisses étaient surcuites. Les troupes sont en roue libre.
Nous avons réservé une table pour 20h30 le 31 décembre & nous le regrettons fortement. Les employés nous ont fait comprendre qu'il fallait manger vite car c'est le 31 décembre, mon frère a commandé un steak tartare non épicé pour cause d'allergie & il l'a eu épicé, nous n'avons pas pu prendre de désert car il fallait que nous sortions le plus vite possible. & nous avons une des employés au niveau des toilettes qui nettoie à côté de nous en nous faisant comprendre qu'il faut qu'on parte. Le restaurant ne doit pas prendre de réservation s'il ne veut pas travailler.

We went to cochon dingue after seeing a movie on a quiet Thursday night. It was after 9pm.
The good: The location is convenient. The resto itself looks really nice! Feels upscale yet casual / family friendly. Comfortable quality chairs. The service was also very professional. They have raving reviews so they are obviously doing something right.
The bad: We ordered the tartare duo (beef & salmon) & the fried chicken plate to share.
Both tartares had an emulsion looking white film on them. The meat pieces were stringy & so the texture was definitely off.
*** The worst part (for me) was the overuse of oregano flakes. It was everywhere & it was all you could taste. It was even covering the (kinda stale, if I'm honest) toast. It was so overwhelming that 1 week later I feel like I can still taste it & it's kinda turned me off of that herb for a while. Really off putting. The fries were also cold.
The fried chicken was mid. Overcooked on the outside & undercook on the inside. Just want to clarify that it was not raw, just kinda tough, as if it had not been brined prior to cooking.
Maybe we came on an off night, but over all we didn't like the 2 dishes we ordered.
Food was very mediocre, but I'm gonna be a little generous with the overall rating just because my friend didn't want to get any pork dishes which is probably where they shine. The fried chicken was underwhelming. The chicken sauce has a weird flavour to it. Coleslaw wasn't great either. The beef tartare was stringy instead of cubed nicely, the salmon tartare was okay. The bread it was served with was so heavily seasoned that it competed with the tartares. Service was pleasant, music was good. Cocktails were alright but should have been mixed prior to serving.
Décor splendide, très très bel endroit par contre service médiocre, plat, cher dans certains cas pour juste de l'assemblage, tartare de boeuf, mélangée avec de la mayonnaise, surprise….
mais leur cote de porc vaut le détour & oublier la crème brûlée c'est de la soupe.

Très bel endroit au coeur de Montréal, spacieux, agréable, avec une ambiance conviviale. Le menu est varié & bien pensé - nous avons commencé avec un tartare de saumon qui était bon.
Mention spéciale pour Tristan, qui nous a offert un service exceptionnel, professionnel & attentionné tout au long du repas.
Cependant, un point à améliorer : j'avais demandé quelle coupe de viande était servie dans le steak frites, & on m'a répondu que c'était de l'entrecôte. Malheureusement, ce n'était clairement pas le cas - la viande manquait de tendreté & de persillage, ce qui ne correspond pas à une entrecôte. Un peu plus de transparence à ce niveau serait la bienvenue, ainsi qu'une amélioration de la qualité de la viande proposée.
Je laisse tout de même 5 étoiles grâce à l'excellent service de Tristan, & je compte revenir d'ici quelques semaines pour voir si des ajustements ont été faits. Le potentiel est là !
Edit: Came back with my friend yesterday for dinner. We ordered the salmon tartare & the salade festive - both were delicious. Due to a small misunderstanding, they kindly offered me a free dessert. I chose the cheesecake, & it was amazing!

Nouveau restaurant au Quartier des spectacles ❤? Le tartare de saumon est très bon. La soupe à l'oignon est ordinaire. Que dire du Pâté Chinois?! Excellent! La sauce était exceptionnelle. Nous avons reçu le plat tellement vite ( comme l'impression qu'il nous attendait déjà en cuisine ☹? ) Le service est bon. Le restaurant est beau & l'ambiance est bonne. Les cocktails 🍹 sont bons 👍 Le menu est alléchant. Plusieurs autres choses à essayer. Je vais revenir!
This new spot is exactly what the city was missing - a perfect blend of cozy charm & luxury, all at surprisingly affordable prices. The atmosphere is both welcoming & stylish, with creative decor that gives the place a unique personality.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, & the staff are incredibly attentive & friendly. The cuisine is Canadian with a French twist - I haven't tried everything yet, but the tartare was absolutely excellent, & the smoothie was genuinely fruity & refreshing.
Highly recommended - I'll definitely be coming back!
